A nice day in boxing history. Some lesser known title defenses and one dud of a heavyweight
    unification.

Makes you wonder, if Bonecrusher had the courage to pop Tyson earlier, how that fight would have turned out. Probably regrets it too this day.

In the UK we got a primetime Saturday night fight live from Detroit (Andries/Hearns) and then come Sunday morning the disappointing Tyson/Bonecrusher fight. Sadly both were overshadowed by the tragic events in Zeebrugge harbour, Belgium that night when a ferry sunk killing 193.

He tried but couldn't hit Tyson without being badly countered. He caught Tyson asleep at the wheel in the last ten seconds of the last round.

Bonehugger would have almost certainly been stopped, if he had 'gone to war' earlier. But I agree it was his best (only) realistic chance, and pre fight it was hyped as such.

Bonecrusher was my man. First HW champ with a college degree. He really punked out in that fight and I really thought he coul d have at least given Tyson a good fight.

He was just too slow of foot and hand speed... very powerful but as said above..if he went to war... Tyson would have gobbled him up
