Road Warrior. whats your reasoning on godfrey over dempsey?

Mendoza and others, I am interested in why you think specifully wlad will knockout charles. Charles had a very good chin, went many rounds with ferocious heavyweight punchers(Ray, Louis, Marciano, Layne, Valdez, Satterfield, Moore, Haynes, Walcott) without getting floored including going 15 with marciano when past his best. Cruiserweight Bryd survived the distance with Wlad.

Of course, it's not out of the question that Charles goes the distance in any way, but he was stopped three times and he never met anyone even close to Wlad in terms of combining size, power and skill. Even though he's of course is greater than Byrd, his style is not that of the defensive slickster aiming primarily to survive.

He seemed like a guy that came to fight (even though he did it in a technically skillful and calculated way) and I think that would spell bad news for him against Wlad, given Wlad's superiority in size and power.

Wlad is an all time puncher, great out fighter, and can hurt you with the jab, hook or cross. Roach said Wlad hit harder than Tyson. Charles was Ko'd by one punch from Walcott, and down 30 times in his career as a whole. In additon he did not have big power at heavy, which is the best way to beat Wald. I think Wlad wins here via KO.

I think it is relevant here to mention that while Wlad certain CAN knock Charles out, whether he will is another. He is one of those boxers who chooses the route to a win while minimizing the probability of losing. Because of his athletic ability and skill, this makes him very hard to beat (he barely lost a round to Sultan Ibragimov who was top4 then), but also boring at times (i'm never watching the Ibragimov fight again).

If Charles fights on the defensive and to survive, then he could go the distance like Byrd did. Still, it should be noted that Byrd was knocked down twice, had his father on the ring apron ready to throw in the towel, as well as both eyes as good as closed.
