I'm pointing out that Ali was a young 11 fight work in progress fighter, whereas Marciano was a seasoned 42 fight pro.

It's criticizing Rocky for something greater fighters have had worse problems at.
    So it's crap.

Oh, unless you're pretending that the thread isn't sarcastic?
Yeah, you really got us all fooled

    How is this so?

Anything that isn't wildly positive and adoring about Rocky gets the same reaction as if some one had walked into the Vatican and said F*CK THE POPE!

I think that Marciano's early troubles against Walcott are relevant and pertinent to discussion about his attributes as a fighter and theoretical head-to-head match-ups against certain other fighters. I think that they raise questions about how he might fare against prime elite heavyweight punchers. Please either explain why that is unreasonable or stop crying already.

Perhaps people are just refuting your double standards criticisms that are demonstrably off the mark?

I wonder how this thread would go if the original post was about Ali falling to Banks?
Perhaps a lot of people giving props to Banks, and the very rare extremist Ali detractor getting tomatoes thrown at him.

Calling an argument weak when you don't know what it is.

Do you aways resort to calling people crazy when they call you on your BS?
    The pattern is so predictable...

And in case it somehow wasn't already obvious, I think that Louis' knockdowns (and stoppage loss) raise questions about how he would fare in h2h matchups against any number of less "great" fighters too.

Ali is quite a bit different, given that we've seen him eat plenty of hard punches against men who are widely regarded as ATG punchers, like Liston and Foreman.

And I'm pointing out that Banks couldn't hold Walcotts spit bucket.

It happened, so it is so.

So getting knocked down in round 1 by non ATG punchers doesn't mean you can't eat plenty of punches by ATG punchers?

Looking at your analysis with no bias at all, it's absolutely awful.
You are using the Walcott KD to question Rockys H2H abilities.
Yet you havent explained how, or given context to why that would be the case.
You've totally neglected other boxers who also fell in the first round.
When asked to explain why the same thing happened to Ali, your explanation is that he proved himself doing something Rocky never had the opportunity to do. You contradict your own logic, and expose it's egregious flaws.
Godawful presentation of information/opinions. It doesn't even deserve to be called half baked.

And using my better senses, and being aware of how people present information, you're obviously creating a lazy sensationalist post to demean Rocky. I think everybody here knows that. You can keep hiding behind stretchy logic, something you're good at, but people are smarter than that.
