Marciano late, he would get beaten until round 7, then Marciano would start to beat Liston same way Liston beating Marciano until round 7.

In round 13/14th expect Liston to be very tired and barely breathing, Marciano would not need too much to KO him cold same way he did Walcott.

But it will brutal fight for sure.

Marciano ain't making through 7 rounds against Liston. He never fought a young(ish), virile man of that size with those weapons. Liston is all kinds of wrong for Marciano who was always in front of his opponent, slow as molasses and had only a passing acquaintance with balance.

For Ali 1 Liston wasn’t trained to go much beyond 4-5 rounds so that would count against him IF the fight goes that far and beyond. However. I think Sonny KOs/stops Rocky around that point in the fight anyway.

No disrespect but you have to take athletes as they are. It's like saying if Ali fought today with the advances in training and nutrition he would be a hard 240 pounds with no slippage in speed and reflexes.

That’s fine to say that but be realistic. Steroids have changed the game and allowed all fighters to gain functional mass. People aren’t magically bigger today. DNA of humans has not been changed. Modern training methods have changed which is the easiest thing in the world to adapt to. You can’t magically gain power, a chin, stamina, style through a steroid injection. You can get more explosive and stronger and heal quicker from injuries. But it says nothing about you as a fighter as all of them are on the juice. You can ask the question would Rocky or Liston be better off roiding up and weight draining? Staying where they were at? Who knows. Maybe Rocky gets to cat like Tua and can’t bend and lean as well. Idk. But I judge my fights on equal training footing. Same gloves same rules same availability and access to training. I judge on styles, chin, power, stamina, speed, defense, and accuracy. That’s how I gauge fights. I don’t obsess over a fighters pecs like some

Liston couldn't beat some bums inside 12 rounds let alone Marciano.

Infighting and wrestling during the fight from Machen just backed up Liston ofense, same would be with Marciano but Rocky punches harder and more.

Liston would be frustrated because Marciano would be always too close for Liston to do anything, only damage Liston does is in the begining of the round until Marciano got close.

Sonny Liston would have immediately quit on his stool in the 7th round if he swapped places with Marciano and had to fight Jersey Joe Walcott while being blinded by ointment that was burning his eyes:

Few men would have endured the beating Walcott gave Marciano those rounds, fewer still would have gone on to win that fight. Liston ain't one of 'em. Liston could take a punch, but he couldn't take a beating. He lacked the mental fortitude, as history has proven.

What you have conveniently forgotten that this particular version of Liston had poor condition due to not training, and a shoulder injury in which he tried to postpone the match:

An injured, poorly trained Liston ain't winning **** against Marciano. The results would have been the same as with his first fight with Ali, with Liston deciding to quit on his stool before eventually getting knocked out.
