we all know you are Little Black Trannie, Eddie Murphy is your Idol, he likes She-men....and you like Mandingo but you entertain us...Truth is Eddie is a raciest at least Chris Rock admits he don't like Italians because they used to take his lunch money and give him a smack in exchange back in Brooklyn. Race is not an issue with me but I recognize that Charles, Walcott and Moore were the better fighters of the era and experienced pin point punchers. The better fighters of the era were not the bigger ones in fact Primo and Willard and Buddy Baer were about the best up to that point and Louis chopped the Big guys down. Marciano beat tall and fat men but the best men of his era were the men mention including Lastarza and Moore who dominated all the big guys. Moore beat Baker by KO and handled Valdez.....Marciano would have Stopped both if they reached that level. but there are people who always pick hairs....Ali handled the Big guys like Liston and Foreman but had trouble with little guys like Doug Jones, Henry Copper and Joe Frazier Foreman never faced a slickster only Jimmy Young and Ali and he lost to both pretty badly, in fact Foreman avoided punchers in career 1 and almost was stopped by Lyle, who was a muscled guy but not a puncher. We all have our favorites but you have an agenda and more than likely a kid who is green around the gills and are obsessed with hate for Marciano because he beat every black man he fought. I can understand a logical argument but I have seen enough in life to know not to underestimate any man because of color, black, white or brown. The last few decades white Americans have not been big on boxing and most of the gyms are in black or Hispanic area's but now that they have broken down the wall and allowed the White Russians, Polish fighters to compete they are dominating the Black Americans. I am American but have to honest I wonder how if these big Russians were allowed to compete how it would have changed the complexion of Heavyweight boxing in the 70's 80's and 90's
Bummy Davis, Bravo, but you can't use logic on racist's... They are so permeated with hate, that it's toxic...
I think it was more to do with the fact that Foreman was a murderer in the ring, rather than the fact that he was the larger man. no pressure fighter or forward moving fighter in history (Louis, Marciano, Tyson, Dempsey) would beat peak Foreman, only a slick moving or master ring technican (Ali, Holmes, Johnson, Liston) can pull it off, and Ali's the only definate.
I honestly do not know if you are a kid with a chip on your shoulder or simply a jokester trying to intentionally bait others with taunts. My last attempt at reason is to say you can present your argument in a toned down manner without the insults ... if you choose not to then you will not be taken seriously here and simply be the target of attacks on every front that feels like it ... As far as Rocky , straight up in the 70's , I feel he and Frazier is pick em and I'll tell you why. Joe was not a fast starter, could get rocked early and Joe had big trouble against short, crouching fighters. This is purely from a stylistic match up perspective. I 'm the last guy here to use the Frazier chin angle against Joe as I know Frazier had a very good chin and was a warrior but he did get hurt against Bonavena and destroyed by Foreman and I feel Marciano would be a very dangerous match up for Joe, especially early ... I feel the 1970's Ali is very over rated. I have seen many of his fights many times and from 72 on he was beatable to me .. he did not have the same leg speed and he got hit far more. While I still like the 72-74 version over Rocky I feel it would be a terrific fight. There is no doubt in my mind that if Doug Jones could hurt Ali and Cooper could for all intents and purposes knock Ali out , Rocky could seriously put a hurting on him. Foreman would be a stylistic nightmare for Rocky based on size. I could easily see Rocky stopping Quarry, Shavers, Ellis ... I could see him having a war with Lyle that could go either way. I could see a Norton fight going either way. My point is that Rocky would be very dangerous in the 1970's ... to blow him off as some guy that slipped through the cracks is simply short sided.
