    Marciano was 3" taller and 10lb heavier. He is the bigger man. Deal with it.

    5'11 185-190lb > 5'8 175-180lb

    That honestly means nothing to me. I care about height and weight. Sharkey was a midget, and sometimes weighed in under the light-heavyweight limit.

    Key word- BIGGER.

    "Taller" does not mean "bigger". A python is longer than an anaconda. It is not "bigger". Bigger refers to mass. The tale of the tape clearly shows that Sharkey had more mass than Marciano.

    Weight is meaningless. For example Years ago Ring Mag had the measurements pf Joe
    Louis [200 pounds] versus Jack Dempsey [188-90 pounds],and from the waist up
    Dempsey was bigger generally. Strength cannot always be determined by weight !
    Tom Sharkey was a bull, but Marciano had strength beyond his weight and size.

    who even takes tale of the tape seriously? how many times has the tape got one fighter bigger than the other and when they meet in the ring the so called shorter one is taller.

    even when they get it right and its all even, up close one has a bigger head, is brawnier and has the apearance of being bigger even when the same weight and height.

    Jeffries, Corbett, Fitzsimmons and several other Hall of Famers would disagree with you. They were thoroughly convinced that Sharkey could "fight a lick". Even Jack Johnson was impressed with Sharkey and said so in interviews.
