Well, if we are bringing up amateur matches, Coley Wallace beat the rock and Bowe would beat Wallace everyday of the week.

I haven't made a pick so you can lower your gloves.

Evander's "skinny frame"? His chest is 4 inches bigger than Marciano's ,his reach is 10.5 inches longer, his neck is over 3inches thicker! His biceps are over an inch bigger. If he stood next to Rocky he would make him look like a middleweight!

Bowe is one of the best in-fighters among the big men I have ever seen. It is possible Bowe could dominate the action from both long range ,and close up .

Bowe basically beat Holyfield because he was too big for him.

Holyfield was 20-25lbs heavier than Marciano and 3.5inches taller he is bigger all round in torso ,with over ten inches in reach, yet he was too small for Bowe .:think

You don't think Lewis would hurt Marciano?

Marciano ducked Toxie Hall who floored him in an exhibition match and dazed him so badly his trainer stopped the exhibition.
[ Just copying your Jack Johnson /GunBoat Smith story].

Bowe was never knocked down by a 41 years old light heavyweight , nor a 39years old fighter. Any ko losses on his record?

    Jorge Gonzalez wasn't a puncher?

Herbie Hide had 43 kos in 48 fights for an over 80% ko.He wasn't a puncher?

I repeat ,I don't see anything wrong with his chin.

No you won't, everybody's two cents is welcome, for what it's worth, I didn't know those three had beaten Marciano in the amateurs .
You are right about the crowds reaction to Wallace taking the verdict though ,they really let rip!:good

This presumes Bowe had Futch keeping him away from the fridge.

Why not just have a thread on ALL the world champion fighters since his own era Rocky would smash in a month.

Folks could bet their cash in a sweepstake type arrangement on the rounds they last.

    For instance,

1st of the month Patterson 1 round

2nd of the month Liston 6 rounds. Then a week off.

9th of the month Ali 13 rounds, 5 days off then.

    Frazier in 4 rounds.

Rocky's confidence is now sky high, so within 48 hours he dispenses with,

    Foreman in 6 rounds.

This time he only has 3 days break before he decides to settle this jock strap carrying argument once and for all.

    Holmes 5 rounds.

The Rock is now so angry when he hears of a powerhouse kid from the Catskills he demands to meet him the next day, and decides to show him there is more to fighting than just beating up the other guy. His IRON jaw takes 6 murderous punches in the first 2 minutes of round 1, but he just hits back harder, and it is,

    Tyson 3 rounds.

With only 11 days left in the month, and all the irrelevant alphabet belts the Rock decides to go for a 4 fight, in 2 days extravaganza in which he will fight Holyfield, and Bowe on the 30th of the month, and Lewis and Klitchko on the 31st.

The action starts off looking pretty rough for Rocky as Holyfield puts up a tremendous fight, and after a monumental battle he eventually wins

    Holyfield 14.

But what the crowd doesn't realise but Rocky knows only too well is he was always good at the old log chopping routine, so a bit of tree felling is nothing to him.

    Bowe chopped down in 5.

The axe work continues the next night with a vengeance with

    Lewis falling in 7.

Then despite the Herculean efforts of the previous and current night's activities. Rocky's Iron Will, phenomenal strength, and stamina prevail and,

Vitali Klitchko is felled in 11.

The next installation from fantasy land will feature Captain Fantastic's 2 week course at Ram Jam Singh's college of scintillating wit, and sparkling answers.

Or, since it's patently obvious that no single fighter could defeat him, which two fighters in tandem could beat him?

I'm not sure why poor Marciano is being matched with all these huge heavyweights? As much as I'm a fan, I find it very difficult to make a realistic case for him against guys like Bowe and Wlad who enjoy a massive size advantage, and both of whom are skilled heavyweights, not just big.

It's getting a bit silly now, isn't it?
