He isn't accurate, he missed Ward all night, doesn't have a clue about working inside ,only throws long punches and doesn't know how to pace himself.

Kov can't take it to the body. Rocky would stop him easily. Wards punches had Kov in agony. Marciano blows would break him in two.

After further review, Kovalev isn't a good later round fighter and his issues taking body shots. I;d pick Marciano.

Of course. Only newbies jump to unwarranted conclusions regarding an untested fighters abilities. This is why knowledgeable historians WAIT until a fighter is significantly tested and also are at near career end before ranking them alongside other proven ATG fighters.

Wow, I forgot all about that post

I guess I had some insight on that one. LOL.

I did feel that Koralev was still unproven.

I don't follow boxing that much now, but I have been around long enough to know when a guy has become the undisputed best at this weight, and it seemed Koralev had not yet done so.

i am clearly referring to the beliefs of others who bring up skin colour, and clearly disparaging the viewpoint of colour prejudice.

you are acheiving the opposite of what you intended by raising this issue. well done in doing that.

You are clearly engaged in the otherizing process and habitually alienate the other based on deep seated psycho-social-ological issues stemming from inherent trauma. As Franz Fanon said.

you failed, mate, stop trying to run from your failure.

Whats more, pulling me up for castigating racism, is actually YOU supporting racism.

    That's pretty much my take.

But I would add that Kovalev wasn't really making the ref's job that easy, given he was somewhere in between hurt, not wanting to fight and failing to show any signs of defending himself, at the point of the stoppage. With half a minute or so left to go in the round, I can't see where else it was going to go from that point.

If nothing else, however, it helped clear up a speculation on Marciano v Kovalev.

    Marciano - Early KO.

In actual fact your racially polarized pseudo-social ramblings entail the inevitable, and wholistic destruction of a homogenous society vis-a-vis the modernist concept thereof and moreover are a cancer eating away at the foundations of the future new order. Clearly you need to familiarize yourself with the theories of Said and re-establish what it is that you are trying to elucidate in relation to the other and the process of creating the other.

My original thought a year ago would have been Marciano by mid round stoppage. After witnessing Kovalev's performance on Saturday night, I am not sure Kovalev would have made it to even round 3.

I posted months back that Marciano and Dempsey would destroy Kovalev showing Krusher fans what a true badass looks like in action. It has now been certified that Kovalev has zero chance against those two ATG's and it would be over very early and very brutally.

so you are still trying to castigate my opposition to racism?
    And therefore supporting it!

ok, keep it up till you get banned.

I was a big fan of Kovalev's and would still be if he elects to continue fighting. I was for him both times vs Ward, but truthfully, he's been exposed badly by Ward...and is far more limited than I originally supposed he was. Sergey just could not figure out Ward, and was unable to come up with an adjustment in his armory or strategy to deal with his man in that all important rematch...
Recently, in a "Dempsey vs Kovalev" thread I unhesitatingly chose Dempsey to ko the Russian. Seeing as how Ward,...Ward....had him in such agony, I still think Dempsey would have finished him, but even quicker than I first surmised...may in a round or two. As for Marciano, it would have been a highlight reel type of ko as he would have broken Kov in half. Both Jack and Rocky would have devastated Kovalev.
