Yeah it's the rest of the world mate, not you. Tommy Morrison got pole axed the very next fight after Foreman too now didn't he Pants on fire!!!!!
A fighter who is famous for losing, is being favored over a fighter who was famous for winning, based on a weight discrepancy, and a comparatively crude skill set! Are we even debating boxing anymore?
I sense you won’t let that one go old buddy. Yes let’s not forget the irrelevant nobody morrison beat between beating bald George and being smashed to smithereens by an 11 fight novice ...Tim tumbleweed or Thom thumb I think he was called...
Has this thread hit rock bottom yet, are we nearing the bottom, and if not, how much farther do we have to go?
As for the thread i favor Marciano. I think he'd get under Bruno and be able to crowd him. Bruno with his size and power is obviously a live underdog. A proper summation of both careers should afford that i think.
me to. Tim tomacheck. I salute you. Having boxed I respect all pros. It was you I was teasing. Not Tim. and I agree with you.
Is this a popularity contest? Are we talking about who is famous? Do you deny that Bruno was a world class professional heavyweight who carried 40+ pounds more muscle than Marciano, who was 4" taller and possessed a 15" greater reach AND who stylistically was something of a front runner with a sledgehammer jab and excellent power WHILST Marciano was on the lesser end of all measurables AND was a guy who showed some susceptibility early in his fights against his best opposition AND was cut in every top level fight he had. There is a math in there that makes a good argument for who would prevail. Now, if you want to return to your popularity contest, so be it. But at least be so kind as to admit you are not talking boxing. By the way, you are so quick to castigate Bruno for his famous losses. How does Marciano do against Tyson, Bonecrusher, Witherspoon and Lewis? I suppose he beats all of them, too.
Bruno really was one suffering from the look like Tarzan play like Jane syndrome. That physique did not translate to what many people thought it would. Although, both are some of my favorite fighters so can't pick a winner.
