You said undefeated champ, Douglas was NOT the champ during his performance in Tokyo.

He was the champ when Holyfield knocked him out.

You should have seen his response when i told him the 20 year old Tyson was better than the 30 year old Tyson.

You should spend a day in General (which i have started doing recently)

You will want to hang yourself.

Example: 'Mayweather is overrated. Why doesnt Mayweather fight toe to toe'

Since this is "Tokyo" Douglas, it has to be a 50-50 fight. As it would be against most ATG heavyweights. On that one performance Tokyo was a special fighter. He had everything that night. Size, Pace, power, fast hands, skill, heart. He even got off the floor and won. He took an excelent fighter to school that night. Had Tyson buy feints and sickened him. Suckered him and beat up an unbeaten all time great.

A smart big man who punched with that authority, gets up on his toes, good inside, did not tire, his chin stood up and had late power like that ...well, you cant really rule out that version against anyone. Night for night this would be the hardest fight for Rocky. He proberbly beats Rocky on that one night.

As goes the consensus - Douglas. On that surreal night in Tokyo,Buster would have carried approx nearly 50 lbs more well conditioned fighting weight (Equivelant to a Middle fighting a Feather) and too mobile. His crisp right hands would wreak havoc.

Head-to-head, Tokyo Douglas is arguably the greatest fighter, pound for pound, we ever saw. Certainly the greatest heavyweight.
But there's no way of knowing how that Tokyo Dome air will enhance The Rock's abilities.
No one's seen The Rock of the Dome, but we can only imagine his magnificence.
Tokyo tends to turn these American fighters into Godzilla, certainly on the first visit.

I remember when Tokyo Foreman pummeled Jose "KING" Roman, a fighter who probably would have given Kingston Foreman or Caracas Foreman a tough fight and perhaps beat Kinshasa Foreman.

Tokyo Tyson was an incredible fighter too, on his first visit. But the Dome air was too pure for him to return less than 24 months later and expect to thrive. That's the thing about Dome Tokyo, it's not like old (non-Dome) Tokyo, it's potency needs to be parcelled out maybe once every five years, otherwise the American heavyweight body tends to reject the awesomeness on more frequent dosages.

Marciano by stoppage, after a brutal war and struggle.

but you need to figure in that would tokyo buster exist without Tyson as the opponent. in which case, if he don't, Marciano stops him earlier.

    It is quite depressing really.

Until relatively recently, size was seen as being one of a number of factors in a heavyweight match up.

During the Lewis era we started to see the emergence of a group of fight fans, who came to believe that it was the most important factor.

Now we are seeing the emergence of a generation of fight fans, who virtually regard size as being the only thing that matters.

You don’t have to pick any fighter weighing more than 220lbs who has a pulse over Rocky Marciano.

There are other factors in the fight as well!

I am fairly certain that Tokyo Tyson finishes Marciano within 5 or 6 rounds. Speed kills. Marciano shined against old, beaten down fighters who were losing their reflexes and fighting a lot on memory. Even the undertrained, over-partied Tyson of Tokyo still has that speed of hand, speed of combo and reflexes.

Marciano drones always refer to the Rock's Plan B, outlasting and outworking his opponent. Well, here, the Rock would not get beyond Tyson's Plan A.
