    I've always picked Tyson over Marciano, and probably will until the day I take my last breath.

    I like Tyson by mid round TKO. I will explain why later. I am a huge Mike Tyson fan. One of the very best heavyweights of all time. Rates in my top 6. H2H he rates in my top 3.

    Tyson will take rock out inside of 5 rounds. Mike has to much speed for Marcaino, speed is the key in this fight. Mike will get there first, Mike will get there early, and Mike will score the KO!! Rocky likes to bang but he will be punished like never before in this fight for making some of the crude mistakes he has made against other fighters like being off balance, or swinging like a wild man and leaving himself wide open, Mike will hurt him and make him pay for all his mistakes! Mike will hurt the Rock with the uppercut to the body and then the head (The "Tyson" as they call it) as the Rock moves into Mike in his low crouch. I just think Rocky is tailor made for Tyson. Tyson KO4.

    Marciano would survive Tyson's early attack, then start giving as good as he gets in the middle rounds, then take Tyson into deep water and drown him. Many linear heavyweight champions would not be able to survive Tyson's early attacks, but Rocky would...in my opinion.

    I agree that if Rocky could take Mike to the later rounds Tyson would be in trouble I just don't think he would have.

    That's certainly a sensible opinion. I wish we had the power to schedule this fight and see who was right! I would love to watch it! :good

    If it was a real fight I would not bet on it. I think tyson would be so up for it and with a fast start he would do serious damage to marciano early. that is a certain. It would be tysons best chance.
    however Tyson started like that a lot and not everyone was blasted out early. For tyson to win early wouldnt marciano have to be as bad as all the scared guys tyson stpped early? remember most of them had been KOd before apart from spinks - who was scared.
    And what if it went a few rounds?

    In a hard fight tyson was prety clueless. He has no history of coming from behind and winning. unlike marciano tyson was knocked out. It would be much easier to envision marciano getting knocked out if ever he had of been knocked out...

    That said Not many met tyson head on and won, those that did were not presure fighters and they weighed a lot more than marciano. there is no getting away from that. I accept that.

    I think a fair assesment is if Marciano gets through the early rounds he has a chance. like I say i would not bet money on it.
    under old prize ring rules would be another matter...
