Marciano versus Tyson. Who Would Win?

I feel Tyson is too powerful and strong in the beginning rounds for Marciano... but If he could survive the early round assault and make it into rounds 8-12 then he would have a very good chance of knoking Tyson out.
but Marciano's style is probably too risky against Tyson and I think he would get sparked out early...

 

A physical and stylistic mismatch.

Tyson had thirty pounds of ripped muscle on Rocky. Tyson was light years faster. Tyson hit considerably harder with either hand. Tyson had proven his chin against much bigger and better punchers. Tyson was better at defense. Tyson was a much faster starter.

Tyson by TKO inside of 2, likely inside of 1.

What's next, Terry McGovern v.s. Rubin Carter ?

 

Tyson would win. Marciano is basicaly a curserweight. Would you really pick a crusierweight to beat a prime Tyson?

Yeah, Tyson is bigger, faster, a more accurate and educated puncher, with overall superior technique to the rock.

On the other hand, Rocky's got way better heart and I would have to say chin too, hard to call but I think Tyson would win the puncher's battle. inside 6?

 

Tyson never got off the floor to win a fight...Marciano outguts Tyson..Tyson's the school yard bully....stand up to him like Douglas or Holyfield did...and the fights over...Marciano beats him on heart alone!!!

 

Tyson had terrific handspeed and upper body movement to go along with frightening power at his best. Marciano had a great chin but I think against someone with Tyson's firepower and accuracy it would be dented and probably early.

You just had to go overboard didn't you? No one in history is stopping a fighter of Marciano's chin, Heart, and Toughness in one round. I like Tyson in about 5 or 6, but he Rocky will give him a few rough moments on the inside...Tyson will have to work to put Rocky away. Tyson will do it because he is possibly the greatest finisher of all time, and possessed the greatest combination of Speed/Power/Technique next to joe louis the division has ever seen. But it aint gonna be easy. Rocky isn't easy for anyone. Trust me.

 

He'll do that, and then pick Frazier to beat Tyson.

That staement speaks more about you than about people who would pick Marciano. I pick him, but it would be close, and could go either way. I rank both in top 5 all time.

I'm thinking if Tyson can't blast Rocky out relatively early, then Marciano will gradually wear him down late.
