Marciano vs. Carnera 15 Rds.

    O.K. let me say that Marciano wins this one straight away.My question is how much trouble could Primo give Rocky? He was a big Man 6'5 260 Lbs. and supremely strong. His Boxing skills,although not great were workable. Having a good Left Jab while working a Right Uppercut off the Jab,and albeit slow he seemed to Punch well in combination. His greatest weakness was his seeming inability to take a hard Punch. Rocky would be giving up about 7 inches in height thereby taking some steam off his Punches. My guess is Rocky takes a UD in 15 or maybe a late K.O. due to Primo having a little to much China in the Chin. What do you think?

    marciano mid round Kayo, fight doesnt go past 8th round. Marciano does better against the big slower men than he did the small speedy boxer types. marciano was at his best against a primo carnera type fighter. Primo wont be able to keep rocky off him and primos biggest weakness was being a sucker to a right hand, and rocky suzie Q will find its target. Carnera will swing down to hit marciano but his innaccuracy combined with marcianos defensive crouch will make carnera miss and marciano will counter carnera on his way back up. could be an ugly fight, but charlie goldman will have marciano prepped for carnera. I could see Carnera scoring some points with his jab but thats about it, unless he connects with one of his wild uppercuts.

    Fair assesment. Although I do see it lasting a bit longer than 8. Carnera did go 11 with Baer.

    Ya but Max Baer was a Clown, Marciano was not. when he got you hurt, he finished you off right their. Louis finished Carnera in 6.

    I am talking the 1951-1952 slugger version Marciano here, who put guys away earlier like layne, mathews, louis.......not the aging marciano of his later title reign who broke guys down with volume.

    Marciano inside 9 rds ,I think Primo would go a while he had heart,eventually Rocky catches up with him and lands with the shot that Carnera was open to the right cross.

    Intesting match up due to Carnera's size. But in the end, Rocky hits too hard and is too agressive. I think he stops Carnera in the mid to late rounds.

    Marciano aggression would be the end of Carnera. Primo wouldn't have anything to keep the little guy off of him. Rocky would hit him all over his body and finish the big bum within 8 rounds.

    Nah, Marciano would get it done in half that time, or earlier.

    About the only reason these two are being compared is because both were Italian. Carnera doesn't even come close to a Marciano
