925ft-lbs says any man. There is no being too hard, only too skilled.

Chuvalo was so durable but as slow as molasses. Marciano overwhelms him every round with an endless array of power punches. Marciano by a one sided unanimous decision 10-5 in rounds

Comparing Chuvalo to Tyson is like comparing raisins to cantaloupe, someone could beat Chuvalo twice or three times and still get sparked by Tyson in the first half of round 1

Maybe, maybe not — but what a fight it would be. Both Marciano and Chuvalo are absolute monsters when it comes to trading shots and refusing to budge. Chuvalo was granite-chinned and never knocked down, but Rocky had the kind of relentless pressure, stamina, and two-fisted power that could break anyone down over time. Marciano simply had more overall talent — better timing, more accurate punching, and the ability to sustain a brutal pace deep into the fight. Over the distance, I think Rocky lands more and pulls away, even if Chuvalo stays on his feet. War of attrition all the way.

Chuvalo is big and tough , can box and even hit a bit.

Not gonna help in the slightest.

The rock smashes him over 11 rounds until the fight doctor stop the fight with Chuvalo still standing even if unrecognizable.

No one beats rocky standing in close with him with little to no foot speed / lateral movement.

Lastarza was a stationary target in the latter stages, and he still lasted into the 11th to be stopped on his feet.Cockell was there to be hit all night and he went into the 9th,to be stopped on his feet.
Chuvalo was lot more durable than either of them.

Chuvalo was very good at rolling with punches, I think he’d last the distance but not based on RL doing so. I also believe by Frazier and Foreman his face was compromised?

With Don Cockell what was happening and I think @Pat M and @greynotsoold would agree on is that Cockell was seeing it all coming, Marciano was trying to take him out with one big punch that’s not how you get someone out of there even if you hit very hard, a professional boxer with good eyes isn’t stopped that way - Don had 78 professional fights before Marciano he knew how to fight those wide murder punches RM was throwing weren’t going to work.

You can take whatever version of Rocky you want I ll take the 217 lbs Chuvalo vs Quarry. 217 pounds of solid steel. Even Quarry who stood in with monsters that didn’t exist in Marcianos era had to step back and box and still look what happened he got struck with a sledge hammer. Yes George could be out boxed. Rocky’s not a stick and move guy so he’s in trouble here. Watch even Frazier fight after trading toe to toe Joe decided to step back and use his speed advantage. 189 lbs heaviest Rocky had trouble finishing tub o lard puffed up light heavy Cockell. When he hit George it would be like hitting iron. Too big too strong George by decision or late tko.
