Marciano vs Foreman... What Can The Rock Do?

I think Foreman's hands are deceptively fast.

 

Maybe not,but he wasn't faster either.

 

Frazier did not win a round. Like Joe, Rocky has no recourse but to engage at close range and coming in he gets tagged.

 

Well Rocky has a better chin than Joe so he should be fine.

 

Be a miracle if Rocky gets out of the first round the way Frazier did

Did he really? His chin is a bit overrated. Dropped by Walcott, seriously buzzed by Walcott in the 11th, and dropped like a sack of sh*t by Moore. Neither guy was some elite heavyweight puncher, certainly along the lines of Foreman. And Frazier certainly fought a better crew than did Marciano.

 

I think he had a good chin but we never saw him hit by a George Foreman.

What chin would we assume Foreman, Tyson or Vitali to have if they had gone down or hurt by single blows of this kind?

The list of champions and contenders who’ve never been floored or stopped or knocked out is slim to non existent. Especially in the HW division. Foreman Tyson and Vitali were all stopped ironically in their prime and all had good to phenomenal chins. Not sure what your argument is. Walcott was a solid puncher and so was Moore (not as great at HW but still Knocked our a few contenders). Marciano was knocked down for a few seconds got up not on shaky legs and wasn’t in any real danger. You can’t say he didn’t have a good chin because it’s just factually and intellectually dishonest. I still think Foreman most likely stops him but it won’t be easy

 

Make use of that forearm smash or get Foreman to take a dive

 

That was tongue and cheek. Joe Frazier had an amazing chin. Rocky was along the same lines but when your walking into Foreman the best chin is gonna give it up.
