Notwithstanding the punishmemet that Tony would take, its the Pace and Work Rate that Rocky would Inflict on Tony that would Also take its toll on Tony's Ability to Stay with Rocky for too long, At least Don Cockell has some skills to match his Bravery, But Once rocky got into the grove with him it was one way traffic, with Tony being there to be hit, i can see him being bludeoned by the 4th round, Rocky may feel that he is just Warming up...

It could be quite interesting for a while though...Galento's lack of height may disrupt Marciano's rythmn.
In the end I see a brutal pounding for Galento, but it would be fun to watch for a few rounds.

This is one that I would pay to watch.

It would be an absolute brawl with every foul in the book being commited. Gallento was tough and he would probably last a few rounds and hand out a fair return on what he got.

Ultimately Marcianos better defence of all things would prevail because Gallento would end up taking more clean shots than he did.

Rocky would absolutely anialate Tony Galento in my honest opinion. The only hesitation here, is that Tony would try every dirty trick in the book, but Rocky would not let him get away with it, and in fact return the favor. Galento was fairly good at confusing taller fighers with his crouching stance and fouling tactics, but against the Brockton Blockbuster, he'd be ****ed. This would likely be Galento's last professional fight, especially if he unwisely pissed Marciano off........Which he would.........

Talk about polar opposites in the conditioning department, this is about as wide as it gets. It'd be awfully hard to pick the worse conditioned guy to come out the winner in a slugfest.

this would be a ferocious fight with both men really hurting each other legally or otherwise. is it possible that galento whips marciano in a few rounds ? im sure we all feel the same way, the longer it goes the more in marcianos favor it goes.what an ugly fight id really like to see that one.

Marciano KO's Galento inside 8 rounds. I'll put my money on Galento hurting Marciano early and flooring him at least once before Marciano eventually stops him. No doubt, some huge bombs would be thrown from both men in a very entertaining fight.

Galento might have given Marciano a tough fight, he was a tough hard-punching rough fighter, naturally tough and raw. He's basically something like what Marciano would have been if he hadn't dedicated himself.

Marciano would have won, but not necessarily as quick as Joe Louis beat "Two Ton".
Marciano had some wars with some clubfighters, and laboured tp finish some guys, and good tough brawlers like Rex Layne lasted a few rounds.

Galento was better than people think. We shouldn't underestimate how hard he hit and how tough he was.

Man I would pay big money to see this fight back in their days. What a great matchup from an action standpoint.

I don't think Tony could stop Marciano before the 5th.

Galento was actually really tough. He might last a long time before crumbling. He charged face first into Baer and tried to brawl with him and actually had some success before getting flattened. I think Galento would hang around for at least 8 rounds before starting to fall to pieces.
