Well...then we would likely be looking at the cruiser weight version that was mentioned earlier in this thread....I think at cruiser Holy causes some trouble for Rocky with his speed and combinations, but that ultimately rocky would catch him and stop him late....@ HW is where this fight becomes very good w/ little seperating the two IMHO....What holy loses in speed (still quicker) he gains in power and durability....This is one for the ages.

Natural Holy lacks the power and durability to hang with the Rock, me thinks.

We have to go with the best Holyfield, the heavyweight version.

Yet, no version of Evan Fields carried Marciano's natural bonebreaking wallop, in my view.

Natural Holy could still hang, but I do wonder what it would do to his stamina..

Marciano faced and KO'd Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore each of whom were of a much higher skill level than Holyfield?? Holyfield was never really a skilled boxer - he's always there to be hit and got hit a lot on a regular basis - whereas Rocky, for all his steamroller ethic, was rarely hit with more than one clean flush shot at a time - Rocky was actually a really awkward guy to catch coming in leaning away and down in his half crouch - I think Rocky is actually a much cuter fighter than Holyfield actually - Holyfield liked to enjoy an edge in speed and agility coming into the heavyweight domain during the land of the giants era so he could kind of capitalise on that to a certain extent but against Marciano - I think Holy would be surprised by Marciano's speed here being pretty much a match for his own - Holy could be surprised and could be hurt a la smokin Bert and once Holy was rockin an rollin Marciano would just never let up - either Holy is ground down or is just out fought bravely over the distance - 88% of the time the other guy didn't make it (including all but one of Rock's top 15 odd opponents so I would lean toward a stoppage if pushed

What would your pick be against those 3??? I might pick Walcott in an upset...and both Charles and Moore could prove to be interesting as well!

In agree with you Philly...Walcott could cause an upset cause he was one tough cookie as well...Im to sure about Charles and Moore but I do know all 3 would put up a hell of a fight...I believe they would all be fights made in heaven, straight up wars, Holyfield would have to be at his best for sure.

  12. Easy win for Marciano. Yet another non contest.

All three would make Holy look very limited 'skills wise' thought that's what you meant? But for what it's worth I'd comfortably favour Wally and Ez over Holy definately I think they'd really school him and both beat Holy - Moore not so sure but again 'skills wise' he would make Holy look pretty numb skulled at times - look how little Holy had to cope with basic boxing from James Toney and that was when at the very least Holy had (or should have) amassed the experience to not get schooled like that
