Holyfiled makes top 15. About. But I give it a try with 20

    John L Sullivan.
    James J Jeffries
    Jack Johnson
    Jack Dempsey
    Gene Tunney perhaps
    Joe Louis
    Ezzard Charles
    Joe Walcott
    Rocky Marciano
    Sonny Liston
    Ali
    Joe Fraizer
    George Forman
    Larry Holmes
    Mike Tyson
    Lewis
Bowe base off of 2 wins of Holyfiled perhaps.

    The contenders of couse
    Sam McVey
    Joe Jeannette
    Peter Jackson.
    Folly and Machen.

    And you can... doubtful.

In any event, Holy is what he is, and I've no desire to read your amateur explanation of his greatness. The eyes would grow tired of reading rubbish.

You're the one made the claim! I don't even want an order, just these 20 magical names you rate at heavyweight ahead of Holyfield. Should be good for a laff

Walcott up only 7 rounds to 5 after 12 rounds including 3 winning rounds when marciano was BLINDED is what you call winning handily?

Mostly a pretty good and interesting list. Surprising you have Corbett quite that high though he'd be on the fringes of making my 20 I suppose. Same with Sullivan interestingly enough. Jeffries too low for my liking, Liston too but hey we all have our own opinions hence this forum. Here's mine:

    1. Louis
    2. Ali
    3. Holmes
    4. Lewis
    5. Marciano
    6. Liston
    7. Frazier
    8. Tyson
    9. Johnson
    10. Holyfield
    11. Jeffries
    12. Foreman
    13. Dempsey
    14. Bowe
    15. Patterson
    16. Tunney
    17. Wills
    18. Walcott
    19. Schmeling
    20. Jackson

Ps: Just noticed you've no Frazier.

I like your rankings. If it were my reccomendations it would be to switch liston and lennox...........and switch charles with tunney.

Really like inclusions of Peter jackson and harry wills

    That's my take as well.

Assuming Holyfield doesn't get a steroid-attack, he'd last the distance but lose a decision, both men battered. Holyfield is good at counter punching, but Marciano just throws too many and outworks Holyfield who keeps looking for a breather which causes him to drop rounds.

Fair do's mate (despite our differing opinions on Tunney at HW). Thank for the nice comments. Sorry I rate Liston very high indeed head-to-head (probably higher than most) and he was a beast in his pre-title prime, looked very good on film. A very well rounded and complete fighter. However I just can't quite place him ahead of Lewis overall.

Totally forgot about Charles, he's a fair shout to place near the tail end of the 20- though I wouldn't be sure who he'd replace. If any.

I know I said that right after I posted my last list. I'd have him at #7 or 8. I find it nterestin you have Tysn so high and his hero, Jack Dempsey so low.
