Marciano vs Klitschko

I know a punch changes evreything, anybody who can KD klitschko 3 times in 1 round deserves respect, peter aint impressive he cant really perform like ali in the ring, didnt peter won both of them fights with toney, and i hate defending peters negative style, but you saying marciano can handle a 17 stone fighter , leaning on him for 12 or 15 rounds? while dominating the fight is crazy, even bigger fighters struggle to deal with it, i respect marciano, but you to underestimate peter in this one would be a mistake

 

Sanders dropped Vlad four times and where did his career go. Peter for sure has power, but lacks stamina. You just mentioned 12 to 15 rounds. Could you imagine Peter going 15 rounds with anyone especially Marciano being the non-stop machine he was. Peter is not that tall to be leaning on Marciano and like I mentioned, Marciano would counter that with volume punching. If Peter does not stop him early or midway through just say a twelve rounder, then Marciano would stop him late and that is if Marciano does not catch him early himself. I don't see anything special about Peter. He almost beat Vlad and Vlad is weak chinned fighter who also made Peter do a semi-chicken dance. He beat an old Maskaev to get a title. If it was not for Maskaev, he would have never attained a title. He would have faced Vitali and we all know what happened there. Peter is a small HW just like Marcaino was in his era. Oh, he got the nod for the first Toney fight and we all know who really won. Don't kid yourself, Toney won that figiht. The second was a very good win for Peter and he showed some skill, but what happened to that Peter?

 

Funny thread this.....Sanders, Brewster and Purrity can stop WALDO but Maricano has no chance?

Some people here aren't actually clued up on the finer points of combat. Marciano would **** up every heavy in the division today, size is actually a disadvantage against a guy like Rock, same with Tyson. Marciano would love to see a big, lumbering target like WALDO or VITLAY facing him. That's all they'd be, a target.

 

FW, Vitali would be a target that Marciano would have much trouble with. I believe Marciano's record would lose the "0" on that one. We can't bunch both of the brothers as the same. Vitali is a much better fighter and if they were not brothers, Vitali would beat Vlad via KO early.

 

It's unlikely Marciano stops Vitali.

 

Dude, I respect your opinion, but PETER? Jesus, I think Marciano would batter Peter. Peter would be crying after the fight, if he was conscious. The first big shot he took from Marciano would shatter his confidence. I think he'd break the bones in Peter's face. Peter is big, has a big punch, but how can he stop Marciano? He WOULD get hit, and it wouldn't be long before the Rock had him on his ass. I'm not some old-school fanboy or some Marciano *****, but seriously.

I don't know what would happen, but I wouldn't rule Rocky out. He has power the likes of which Wladimir hasn't tasted, he's small and deceptively hard to hit. I wouldn't bet on this fight.

 

Agreed. Most of you "experts" fail to understand that the Rock was "light" because he was fit as f--k. The exact opposite of a big fat James Toney type of a blob - 180 odd pounds of pure muscle.

I'd love to see him tear James Toney a new ******* just for the amount of talent Toney wasted on hamburgers.

Not sure he could beat the Klit, whose reach and power would be vital to keeping the Rock at bay, but if the Rock could get to the egg chin it would definitely be over. Marciano would not stop either, his stamina was almost unmatched.

Rocky was only 5 feet 10.5 inches tall and 185 lbs. Marciano was awesome though.

Peter did not knock Vlad down three times. The first time was an illegal punch behind the head, Peter should have had a point taken away. The second was a shove, no punch, nothing.

 

Still im not talking bout sanders or his power, and still it should be respected just like peters, your saying that peter is not that tall, but peter is wide in stature and is quite overweight he does use that in evrey fight the only time ive never seen it not been effective is really against a fighter who can control the ring by using his jab and stopping peter (wlad,Vitali) moving under and then over leaning on them, happend against Vitali, which i was dissapointed because he looked terrible in that fight, but to say peter cant perform for 12 rounds is dissapointing considering all of the UD's he has in his career,

i know there is no 1 who fights like maricano on peters record but there aint no 1 on marcianos like peter, peter can control the pace soon as the lighter marciano moved forward peter would be all over leaning and marciano would be pushing him back and pushing 17 stone back then fighting again is so hard continuing for 12 rounds would take its toll, he would really use marcianos strength of moving in to his advantage as a chance to grab and lean then land some big hooks to the body and head, can u seriously not see peter's style winning this one? or not even a round?

 

ohh no way would i rule out marciano, he is a wesome fighter, but i know you think im crazy but peter does have a chance, i just see peter using his weight and staure to his advantage and winning a UD in this 1, he can wear him down by tiring him and causing him to get frustrated so peter can land hooks close up, i see if marciano keeps coming forward will give him more of a chance of peter to grab then hook, which maricano would get frustrated and start losing rounds,
