Well Saad Muhammad was a tough Philly fighter if there ever was one and a had a good chin. This fight would be thrilling.

Didn't Saad get destroyed by a less powerful smaller swarmer Dwight Qawi?

Hey don't rule out Dwight Qawi beating R. Marciano either he was that tough and good. By that time Saad Muhammad had been in toooooooo many wars. A 23-26 Saad Muhammad was as tough as they come.

Actually, I am ruling that out. You don't beat Marciano by going to war with him, thats suicide. You beat him by staying away and boxing. Maybe 2 or 3 fighters in history can go to war with Marciano and have a chance, and Qawi is not one of them.

    I approve this message.

To address the thread, this one would be a thriller for as long as it lasted, but it's a sadistic fantasy fight... If he thought Qawi did him raw... Whoa.

Saad Muhammad had leakier defense and bled arguably worse than Marciano... Marciano has almost every conceivable advantage here...

Yaqui got handled in the first fight. Probably Franklin's best performance overall. The second fight was very even prior to the stoppage I thought, regardless of what everyone makes that one out to be.

But yeah, Marciano wins. By stoppage more than likely.

    That was the aim.

For the record I have Marciano winning this in what seems like short order in 7, but which would be full of back and forth momentum with both fighters down, just Muhammad down last.

Also it would have been harder for Marchegiano 2 duck under Saad's punches d way Qawi did.

Saad has obviously declined by the time the Qawi fight came around.

This is an even fight, Marciano just ships less due to being far more defensively adept. An amazing battle with Marciano winning a clear points decision or very late stoppage.

Saad is a no-hoper in terms of winning IMO, but certainly not a lame duck when it comes to being competitive here. He was a brilliant fighter, and can only match up well with anyone who'll have a tear up with him. Sledgehammer power, ATG chin, insane powers of recovery, massive heart.

    Beast.

Saad could really score with his uppercuts here though. Theuppercut that ripped through Mwale landing on The Rock as he crouches and moves into range would be ace. No doubt in my mind that The Rock takes it, but Marciano coming back and the exchange that follows would be sublime.
