Marciano in 4 or less. Both can dish it out, but, only Rock can take it in this pairing. May start out looking like Moorer-Cooper, but, Rocky will be muvh better conditioned and won't let him off the hook. Had Bert Cooper been in better shape when he fought Moorer, the same result might have happened.

I don't think a single person is going to pick Moorer to win, but in truth, he has a very live chance here.

Its rightful to choose Marciano and I won't disagree with that pick. But I don't think it necessarily has to be a slaughter or that Moorer has no chance. The rock took a lot of left hooks from some of his foes, including one from Walcott which sent him to the canvas. Michael Moorer was a natural southpaw with a dangerous left among other weapons. Furthermore he was 6'2" and around 214 lbs at his best weight. His chin was shaky but not pure glass as some often like to claim. Moorer survived the artillery of Bert Cooper, Alex Stewart and James Smith to claim victories over all three. He had the heart to rise off the canvas to win fights. And at his best, he'd be in his twenties facing Marciano which is a big dissimilarity from him and Rock's best foes. Not an easy fight by any means.

This fight is all about boxer vs slugger. The question is, can Rocky connect with Moorer's glass chin?

Moorer didn't have the movement or elusiveness to deal with Rock.

    He gets pounded into submission.

Moorer didn't have the boxing ability or speed to get away from the Rock, he had cement in his shoes. He'll have to stand his ground and trade, he'll get some good shots in but would not be able to keep up the pace, he'll get overwhelemed and knocked out.

This is based on all the southpaws Marciano overwhelmed and knocked out?
Marciano must be favourite because he had the better chin, but it isn't a foregone conclusion.

Face facts, bud - Moorer did have a glass chin. It's not like he didn't taste canvas repeatedly in other fights besides the three you mention.

And as he was a LHW who moved up, no he wasn't bigger than Marciano. And Rock had more than enough firepower to take advantage of Moorer's shaky mandible.

    Marciano KO 7

Moorer would have been a better fight against most champions than is given credit for. I don't back him to beat many but he would give most a serious challenge. A great technician and a southpaw. He's better than Jimmy Young and Ron Lyle. Perhaps not that far away from Ken Norton and Quarry either.

Rocky beats him but Moorer would give rocky a tough time until marciano decks him.

Moorer had 22 fights as a lhvy, all inside the distance stoppage wins.
He had 35 fights as heavyweight . Moorer is 6'2"at the age of 23 he moved up to the heavier division scaling 213lbs for his first bout as a heavy. He routinely kod men much bigger than anyone Marciano faced as champion.Moorer is 4"taller than Marciano has 10" in each on him and 25lbs in weight.:deal
