I've collected and watched fights for decades. I'm familiar with it. I'm also familiar with the Moore fight that year, which you can't seem to convince yourself actually took place.

Watch his retirement video. He said he had two or three good fights left. I spoke to his brother. The real reason he retires was he was fed up with Weill

Who wins Floyd vs prime Marciano?

What signs of deteriorating did Marciano show in the Archie Moore fight that makes you think Floyd could take him?

Floyd barely got by hurricane Jackson a poor mans Marciano

I am but what does it prove? Marciano easily handled Moore as well. Knocked Moore down 4 times and won almost every round..

Marciano fought nothing like Moore. He did fight like hurricane Jackson except much better

You didn't think Oscar Bonavena fought like Marciano and laughed, but you think Hurricane Jackson fought like Marciano?

Let me guess, if Patterson fought Nino Valdes before Moore in 1956, you'd be saying Valdes fought like Marciano, too?

I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt. Never mind.

In your tally, write me down for Patterson W15.

He fought like Moore a helluva lot more than he fought like Hurricane Jackson, I can tell you that. (And he didn't fight like either.)

I've never heard Marciano described as "rangy" who liked to jump up and down constantly.

I'd love to get an idea of other fighters you thought were similar in style.

Because Rocky Marciano and Hurricane Jackson ... not seeing it in the least. :hi:

Maybe I like Rocky more than you do?;)

You think you know a lot more than you really do...

Jackson was a swarmer. He threw many punches on the inside, he threw many punches per round. He wore fighters down with stamina and pressure.

Doesn't sound like Marciano eh? LOL

No you're right, Marciano was a fancy Dan slick defensive counter puncher like Archie Moore LOL

You think Patterson beats a prime Marciano?

Patterson would never fight Valdes. Or should I say dmato won't let him. Too much height reach and punching power

Marciano brought the type of punching power and punching ability to the table he only saw before vs Liston

Suzie I know you love the Rock but Patterson NEVER found a place to 'lay on the canvas'. :patsch Never got knocked out, yes rising on a knee late in, at least, one of the Liston fights but for pete's sake stop the "any big puncher lays out Patterson for the count"! Jeez o pete. I'd argue Lennox Lewis was more '****-faced' in his two losses than Floyd EVER was not to mention it was Sonny Liston and Ingo's ATG right hand that hurt Patterson.
Forgive me Suzie and I apologize if I'm wrong, but you seem to think Rock could have continued thru the 50's 'clocking' Patterson, Folley, Machen, Ingo, etc...
And lastly, if (granted a BIG if) Sonny had been properly groomed earlier and had hit prime circa 53-54 he would have left the Rock in a bloody, pulpy mess brutal stoppage.

I don't think anyone beats Marciano until 1958. In 1958 he loses to all those men. So no that's now what I think.

You mention ingos ATG right hand, marciano also had an ATG right hand.

Sonny Liston would have been 21 years old in 1953. Too young to defeat a prime Rocky Marciano.

Liston is one of the best ever, no big deal if Marciano loses to him

Any ATG heavyweight puncher does lay out Patterson. Marciano is one of them, Floyd gets laid out.

Being an expert on 50's heavyweights, you surely know that Patterson had a broken hand in the '56 fight. The '57 return was described by The Ring as "the worst beating administered in heavyweight history". Just shows what you can achieve with two good hands!

Actually if Moore can drop Rocky Floyd can. If slower guys could floor Rocky ,Floyd has a very good chance of doing so.I'll pick Rocky but he will encounter some" Rocky" moments.

Patterson could win if Marciano tripped over Patterson's prone body and hit his head on the ring post.
I can't think of any other way.

This fantasy fight vs Marciano is 1956. Patterson hadn't knocked out Jackson yet. The 1957 beating has no bearing on a fight in 1956.
