I wrestled Division 1 in college. I had s friend who could bench 100lb more than me, yet when we clutched each other, I felt like the stronger man. He couldn’t push me around. Some of it was leverage, but I do think functional strength exists

Bullshyte. I'd like to see a video, and I doubt it exists.
You do know that IPF (drug tested) world record bench is in low 600s? And guy that bench press that amount of weight is like +400 lbs. And you believe that Rahman who was maybe around 250 lbs bench pressed 550 lbs without putting years of dedicated strength training and programming?
    No way.

Don't get me wrong, Rahman is for sure one of the strongest world class heavyweights all time, but a 550 lbs bench press without being a gym rat - years of dedicated strength training, isn't happening, sorry.

The claim has been made over and again, both by Hasim and those in his camp. I remember seeing it for the first time in the run up to his title winning performance against Lewis.

Tbh no official source but i did read it several times on different forums and based on my experience and his type of body i would say that he trained with pretty heavy weights

Yeah it is me. I am not a "powerlifter" just a fan of this sport , i train it but i am very humble doing it and a novice. In 3 years i will see some serious result(i hope).

Early-Mid round brutal KO of rahmen

Either wide UD or mid round KO of McCall, depending on the version of him fighting

Amazing bench press, this guy is obviously very strong for his weight, but I have to say this - with strict IPF rules, he would have benched significantly less.
IPF world bench press record -83 kg is 208.5 kg. I don't think your friend could bench that amount of weight within the IPF rules. And that record is done in a full meet (sq, bp, dl).

One example - I saw Dillian Whyte benching around 400 lbs on his instagram, but he bounces the bar of his chest, his butt comes off the bench and the spotter helps him.
Let him bench within the IPF rules and I don't know if he could bench 350 lbs, know what I'm saying??

So, there we have it. Marciano accomplishes what Tucker, Douglas, Lewis (barring psychotic breakdown), Butler, Seldon, Holmes, Bruno, Maskaev, Akinwande...et al, with a combined thousands of landed punches of a guy who fought almost into his 50's, could not accomplish. KO'ing McCall.
