I was there when Biggs was stuffed by Mason. He isn't beating any version of Ali. And I fail to see the validity of the comparison.
You were at that fight Mac? Biggs was awful in that fight. At ringside, can I ask, did you sense Biggs dumped it? I think he came for the money versus Mason but ringside you get more impression for those kinds of things. The validity of this point is a greater version of the same kind of heavyweight who happens to be smaller is better than one that is bigger and less great. You can't bridge the greatness gap with an inferior model who is just bigger. Otherwise somebody might pick Tyrell Biggs over even a 188lb 9 fight cassius Clay, but nobody ever does. Tua is a less great bigger version of Rocky surely?
Yes I was ringside I thought Biggs decided he didn't want to continue. The thing about Tua is he is more durable than Marciano probably hits harder, and is a little quicker.Add to that he is 40+ pounds heavier and that is a tall ask for Rocky. Greatness is fine but Jim Corbett was great ,imo Tony Bellew ,who definitely isn't would give him hell.
Funnily enough, and on a tangent, I think Bellew has style similarities to Jimmy Braddock. Really pleased for him the other night. Showed class after the fight, too.
