I don't believe he does at all, each to their own I guess.

It's not a question of could they put him down, the question is could Marciano?

See how you missed out things like heart, determination, work rate, stamina. Luckily fights aren't always determined by stats. By the way I think Tyson would be a very strong favourite in this fight.

Is this a tacit admission that Tyson is his superior in the qualities I named?
Oh, and I forgot one ,Marciano was a bleeder!
Marciano's work rate and stamina were proven in his major fights over past prime men.37 year old Walcott,37 years old Louis 39/40 years old Moore,33/34 years old Charles. How would he do against a 24 years old Tyson? We don't know. What we do know is prime Tyson could take the power of big hitting super heavyweights and win.

Fights are usually determined by who holds superiority in those qualities I mentioned

Dempsey was quicker of foot ,quicker of hand ,quicker into attack and more elusive, plus he was not a bleeder. That's why I say he has a better chance .Why do you say otherwise?

The boxing knowledge flowing through his thread is amazing! I wanted to add that through the times in fighting, as you guys have probably witnessed the heart and will of a man can breakdown muscle and strength faster then a bullet. I'm sure all of you have seen that..

Nobody blasted Tyson out early, Tyson could be worn down though. Dempsey doesn't possess the qualities to wear him down, Marciano does.

Tyson was superior to Holyfield in most of the above qualities yet was battered.

    Tyson and early.

He's bigger, stronger, better boxer, better defence, better combination puncher and throw in that he was much much quicker of hand and foot.

Marciano's only way to win is outlast Tyson but he's too small.

    Tyson in 1-3.

Exactly. Late 30s bulked up Holyfield was actually on the slow end of the speed scale in hand and foot, not even close to Mike's punching power or combination ability. But he got in Tyson's face, smothered him and out in fought him. Mike had his most success when Evander stepped back tall and tried to box him. Tyson feasts on that. I think Rocky has a good chance here on the inside, relentlessly pushing into Mike, smothering and frustrating him, ramming his head under the chin, sneaking in short punches. We know Rocky can back up a 213 pound man for 9 rounds and only get stronger, we know Tyson faded under Evander's pressure and couldn't operate in the phone booth. I like Rocky's chances here far more than most.

Don't get me wrong my money would definitely be on Tyson in this bout but boxing isn't won on stats alone.
