Probably the best quality of fight footage that Marciano has, this fight or otherwise. You can see the details of the fighters' physiques and have pretty clear view of their movement here. Truly Boxing Hall of Fame has some great stuff

Marciano was surprisingly explosive in this fight. He certainly started fast. Interesting to see what seemed to be a riot starting at the end. Walcott seemed pissed. Wasn't alot of fighting, Walcott didn't seem to have the same fire he had in the first fight.

Definitely a fast count and what the hell was the ref doing after he completed the count? Didn’t even check properly if Walcott was alright just instantly turned around and literally ran toward Marciano to congratulate him or maybe shake his hand. It was out of shot but anyway what was the rush that he had to run towards Rocky like that and grab his hand even quicker than Rocky’s own corner? Looked very suspicious.

Did you by any chance timestamp the link to jump straight to the action? This looks new to me but when I clicked on it the red "progress bar" (or whatever the hell it's called) started at a little over three minutes in as if YouTube thinks that's were I left off last time I watched it.

Dunno. I always thought Walcott stayed on the canvas on purpose, but i highly doubt this had anything with Marciano's doing

Who, Walcott? Walcott purposefully crossed his feet, it was part of his style, he'd also frequently switch between stances

in fact stance changing used to be common

For Marciano, dunno. Seemed pretty effective for him. I know Dempsey's book said to move with the left foot first when moving left

I thought this was a weird stoppage when I saw it for the first time. Could it be a dive? I personally think Walcott went out to win then when Marciano lit him up he thought he'll enjoy his pay and call it quits

whoopsies, maybe i did do something

I would agree, i think he was hurt by the right uppercut and decided to take the pay and leave

I don't think it's a dive in the sense that money was made from it, I think it's a dive in the sense of "**** it, I'm 39 years old and I've more than paid my dues, and I ain't taking a beating all night".

That's pretty much how I saw it. By his pay I meant from the fight not other transactions

I didn't mean to imply otherwise. I actually just glanced at your comment rather than reading carefully before I replied to it and even didn't catch the word "pay". It's just a coincidence that I used it too.

That uppercut absolutely lit him up.
    Marciano had crazy power
