    Just to be thorough though, maybe he was counting in his head and couldn't hear the referee over the crowd. That might explain why he sprang right up after ten, which would be a pretty odd choice if he's trying to make a dive look convincing.

    I think it was the opposite. I think he was trying to make the dive un-convincing, he was trying to still have an argument of "quick count"

    I'd agree. My reading is he just knew it wasn't going to happen and gave in.

    Considering the start he had in the first fight, he was never making up for that.

    That’s how I saw it although Walcott said he was legitimately knocked down I think he said he misheard the count
