Man, this has to be a top 5 fight in heavyweight history. It had everything...early drama, brutal exchanges, and Hollywood type finish. Marciano was just in absolutely incredible shape, to be able to take that kind of punishment and still be able to land that historic right in round 13. Rocky had balls of steel. And Walcott... he was 38 years old but I’ll be dammed if I’ve seen a more fit 38 year old. Guy was ripped to shreds. He really did fight a great fight. He let his hands go, his hands were very fast, he displayed great stamina, his left hook was pulverizing in this fight. He staggered Marciano with that left hook many times. Walcott was known more for his counter right in the 40s but he really developed a deadly left hook in the early 50s. Walcott just wanted it...badly. The problem is he was facing boxings ultimate animal who wouldn’t be stopped.

    Enjoy....

It was a really good fight. Sustained high level of skill and intensity that is very rare.

Awesome, just watched this match not long ago, I'll have to give this a watch later.

That channel uploads a lot of good quality footage.

Something about Rocky really seemed to stop Walcott fighting with the aesthetic style he used against Louis and Charles. Probably Rocky's lack of range and arythmic pounding style, causing a mix of him not needing to and not being able to. Dunno, maybe their comments will give some clues, be interesting to see if people have done in depth analyses of it.
