Likewise Lomachenko was a finished product when he turned pro except in one area.,handling the cynical pro tricks.This guy has had nearly 400 amateur fights, he did national folk dancing before boxing to improve his footwork,did you know he bounces tennis balls against a wall with his fists ever know another boxer do that?
Turner isn't making any difference to his game and neither is anyone else at this stage!
Prediction if he goes up another weight and faces Garcia he gets beat, he has one flaw ,lack of top end power.
I'm not biased against Turner , butI think he is extremely biased in favour of the old timers, I agree with him on his opinion of James Toney, he had it all except the work ethic.Turner then contradicts himself on Toney because he says the shoulder roll is bullsh*t and Toney was a premier exponent of it!

Turner's personality is such that he enjoys making statements that go against the accepted wisdom of the day."Mayweather wouldn't go 5 rounds in Robinson's day ","the Klits can't fight," they wouldn't be able to hit Rocky because he was down low" etc He is entitled to say what he wants but many trainers would disagree with him imo.


Turner calls pad work bullsh*t,[his favourite word,]yet every major trainer of the last 3 decades employs it.Futch,Roach,Steward,Garcia,Shields,Sanchez etc .Are they all wrong?

 

I talk positively about Marciano all the time,etc"great fighter" ,"great champion," "fine man"," fought everybody who was around".Anyone on here make more realistically positive statements about him?

 

That makes no sense. Charles went the distance with Marciano, Walcott went to the 13th, LaStarza went to the 11th. Why does Cockell going to the 9th round, getting put through the ropes in the 8th round, and getting knocked down twice in the 9th round constitute a great chin?

You're taking a rather ordinary name on Marciano's resume and attempting to portray it as if Cockell gave Marciano hell, almost won the title from him, was his most formidable opponent, etc. I mean God forbide Marciano not look godlike and absolutely invincible every moment of his career because the likes of Lewis, Wlad, Vitali, Bowe, Joshua, Tua, and Foreman always did right? Because they were superheavyweights right?

Exactly. You are allowed a huge weight advantage if you have muscles because then it can somehow be tied in with Superheavyweights of the future becoming such a great evolutionary progression. Modern traing methods rule.
