Marciano - Would You Give Any Fighter...

If Marciano fought in these times he would be a different fighter because of the weight lifting today and different training methods, those things would influance his size and muscle, he would be larger not to mention how people are bigger than 50 years ago. If the other champs fought in Marciano's era they would be different fighters because of the 15 round limit and lower weights even in the 70's most 15 rd fighters were lighter in weight, That being said I dont think any Heavyweight would be able to beat Marciano in 7 out of 10 fights. I think the thing that is being overlooked here is that it is not the size of Marciano but the Heart,Determination,Will to win,2 fisted power,Chin,Stamina,recup power,and killer instint that made him great. Ali had more speed and movement, a solid chin and ability to come back from behind (COOPER AND WALCOTT HOOKS) but lacked Marcianos power and body punching, Liston had power but lacked the stamina or heart of Marciano, Foreman lacked the stamina , Holmes got off the floor to come back but Shavers landed one shot and lacked stamina and Snipes could not come close in power to Rocky. Again looking at the posts on here I can see how Marciano is overlooked and the most underated and dissed on this site and lets pose the same question about Ali, Louis,Foreman,Liston,Dempsey,Holmes and lets see the answer

 

Dont live a past too much. Times a chance to much. Any 5'10, 186 lb cant beat much bigger novadays top amateur heavyweights..

 

For example, wladimir dont fight Ted Lowry 180¾ 62-56-10 he really kill's him..

 

Bowe KO's him early 100/100 times.

Marciano is lucky if he makes it past the first few rounds against Foreman. It would unfold similar to the Frazier beatdown, a horrible match of styles.

Id give Marciano a good shot at Fraizer and Ali. But Lennox Lewis would probably have koed him in a round and might have seriously hurt him as would Tyson.

 

Maybe Frazier. Lewis, Tyson and Liston would blow Rocky away (no disrespect). Ali would take a rather wide UD.

Not really. The version of Bowe from his early fights right through to the Holyfield trilogy would definitely handle Rocky. TKO7.

 

Bowe gets hurt against Marciano and loses. He doesn't have the defense to deal with Rocky's punches.

Bowe was steered away from punchers for a good reason.

Marciano would dismantle him.

 

I would pick Ali to win that amount based on his speed size ,agility,durability,and underated power ,I think he stands a good chance of tkoing Rocky several timesin a series.

 

I think people are underated the Rock's will and abilty to pull off the W here.

I personal would not make any one a major favor over Marciano. Most of these fights could have easy gone the other way in Marciano's favor like Fraizer or Ali. I think Marciano could upset Liston, assuming Liston could not land often with the jab of couse.
