I wouldn't be too surprised at JLC's ignorance. This is the same guy who made about 10 incorrect predictions about Ricky Hatton's next opponent, usually because he misread an article. As it turned out, Hatton has agreed to fight the number one boxer in the sport. Methinks JLC has an issue with white swarmers with undefeated records.

The original was "Biography of a First Son," published in 1972, and he published an updated version titled "Undefeated: The Fighter Who Refused To Lose" with some additional letters and chapters from people who knew Rocky in 2005.

So it was written that early, was it?

Well yeah, that does make sense since the book does end off with Skehan talking about the then-recent computer fight with Ali.

My copy had the 1977 copyright date listed in it so I just went with that.

I've read the biography Undefeated. It was 8-4. And yes, I'm sure. That whole thing with his brother using different names were exhibitions...they didn't account for his amateur or pro records.

I didn't check before I posted- my mind could be foggy on this one, but I thought it was 1972. 1977 might be right, though.

Umm, that article agrees with our point of view, just like every other source you've bizarrely cited in support of your own.

Not true!!! Im friends with his brother Lou and Lou told me that he boxed with Rocky only for exibition shows while Rocky was a pro when someone couldnt be lined up........Rocky's amateur fight career was i believe only 11 or 12 fights total......

JLC is a moron!! Rocky fought his brother Peter in a series of exhibitions up in the state of Maine in early 1952.The Rock was supposed to box against Fuller..but Fuller wanted to protect his amateur status....and he dropped out. Not wanting to pass on the trip to Maine,The Rock's brother Peter substituted
for Fuller.....using Fuller's name and he also went by the name of Zullo...but as Peter has said..the people MUST have known that they were related...because they looked so much alike!

    No, JLC is right.

Marciano's brother also doubled as the fighters known to us as,
    Jersey Joe Walcott
    Ezzard Charles
    Archie Moore

So he defeated his brother for the World title and defended it against him also.

I believe this taints his legacy.

So Marciano's brother even fought himself seven times in order to make these aliases look more authentic!!! I'm telling you, Sonny may deserve to be more famous than his brother!
