There is a flaw, Foreman though hit hard, was not fast, (Marciano was faster on film), Marciano may not have fought a fast foe in his prime, but Walcott, Charles and perhaps Moore in regards to hand speed were still lighting fast. They were not coprses, hell Charles was the same age as Ali was in the Marciano fight(Ali vs Foreman) And Foreman lost that fight, so more props for Rocky for winning a tough one. Marciano had some great ones, the first Charles fight, and the rematch, and the Walcott battle. Rex Layne 1 punch ko was pretty alsome also. Marciano chin was tested more than most, You relly should watch round 11, with Walcott uploaded on Marciano over and over again, and the Rock not going down, and here was the man that drop Louis and ko Charles with 1 punch(And no one did that before) How he do vs Holmes, Foreman and co is all guess work, Walcott was close to his prime vs Marciano imo. I belive Rocky wins most times vs Joe Walcott and a lighter Charles. I also make Marciano a favor over Norton, Your highly underated the Rock if you belive Ali, Liston, Prime Louis and Walcott plus 20 others could beat him. Marciano would be hell for any one, win or lose.
The point I make is simple..... when asking for a result against the odds, yes, Ezzard was the same age as Ali, although Ezzard was beaten. Marciano took the fight. Ali destroyed Foreman. Totally destroyed him. You opinion is great, although the offering might have been mistaken. I was asking if a comparison can be made between any fight in which Marciano had to battle a younger oponent..... hence the Ali/Foreman mention. Marciano was brilliant, although, far from the top twenty on the same day.
Far from the top20? Can you name me 25 better heavyweights than Marciano? 25 men who had a resume more impressive than knocking out every single ranked contender you fight, succesfully defending the championship against the #1 contender five times and the #2 contender once as worst title defense? Having a knockout ratio higher than almost every other champion before and after, including Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis? Being undefeated and having stopped every hall-of-famer fought? If this was some easy accomplishment given his competition, then i look forward to see you mentioning 25 names that out-accomplished him, since he's "far from the top20".
Pontius... I can name 20 men who could kick the arse of Marciano without the blink of an eye... That doesnt mean the records are based on 49/0 over the resouning efforts against old has beens. Whilst considering old has beens, please send my love to the fat arsed slut whom you call ya mother. She still owes me $75 for the last time she sucked my ****.
Carmelo Modica. Marciano was not faster than Lamotta. Marciano for his size was slow. Lamotta actually had decent hand speed. Lamotta used to lay back and jump in with flurries that were way faster than Marciano. Marciano is not known for having handspeed. Joe Frazier was faster than Marciano. Similar fighters as they were, the 184 pound Rock that fought Walcott was slow compare to the 205 pound Frazier who fought Ali.
Yeah you got me there man, a "yo momma" insult. Great comeback, if we were 14 years old. Let me know when you're ready to discuss boxing again. :smooch
