Well no ****. You can't just be ordinary and beat guys like Archie Moore, Ezzard Charles, Jersey Joe, and Joe Louis even if they were past their prime.

This video doesn't really impress me. Marciano was a professional fighter, and not only that, he was a champion, so of course he had some defensive skill - at that level you have to, but he's not really doing anything that strikes me as impressive for a champion boxer. You could scour footage for any number of fighters and come up with a few minutes put together that makes them look great, or at least much, much better than they were. People can cut videos making Pernell Whitaker look like a KO artist. This video does serve the purpose of disproving the misconception that Marciano was an utter defensive ******, but most people already know that.

even if people wanna crack on the older foes he beat i was able to find some old school ring ratings in the 50's. he beat like 11 former champs/top 10 contenders.

he cleaned shop. cant fault him for that.

Rock would have killed Patterson. It makes me laugh that people really think he'd beat Rock. Floyd would outbox him but he would not be able to stay away 15 rounds. Rock would have busted his jaw.
