I agree his defense is underrated . And wlad didnt fight any atg in his era ,more title defenses sure. Charles ,moore, walcott. > povetkin ,chagaev, haye
I've insulted nobody. If you believe the 50'S was a strong era for heavyweights that's your prerogative .I disagree.
The punch stats kind of say it’s superb. Although I always suspected his defense was real good and underrated I wasn’t expecting the numbers available. Say what you want about Moore but he was on an amazing win streak against top competition and one of the best to ever lace em up. Charles was in the beginning of his slide but he wasn’t completely shot. Came off two good wins.
Charles won his previous two and Moore was one of the best heavies to ever live. With a record of like 64-3-2 or 64-4-2 something like that. Moore’s record can’t be argued against really, with wins over basically everyone at the time. Hell the man beat more prime opponents then 99 percent of all HWs. Bivins x4, Nino x2, Baker, Clarence Henry, Satterfield, Lavorante, Cestac, etc etc. He was no Foster at heavy weight. Also I believe he was 38 for Marciano
His Mother said he was 2 years older. We have been over Moore's opponents and where they were or were not ranked,no pleasure or profit in revisiting it.imo
