Myth or the stuff of Truth?

Apparently he'd have an INSANE day of training and THEN "finish" it off with a TEN MILE WALK!!

The human body can only take do so much, so was his training regime a myth or the stuff of truth?

I wouldn't know, but if you were to have a guess on who was the fittest fighter ever with the greatest stamina, Marciano would have to be up there.

His stamina was definitely not normal.

There was a time ...early in the Rock's career...that he ran from Brockton to Quincy Mass...and back....to watch Brockton high school play football....that's 15 miles up...and 15 miles back...wonder if Beau Jack ever did that?...I doubt it....

Maybe a nickel wasn't as important to Jack as it was to Rocky? Rocky, even after he hit the big time carried a metal slug so he could make phone calls for nothing.

Obviously I know enough of Greb and Armstrong to know they would be up there, I would have to bow though to your good self on the other three's fighting style to give an opinion.

That's right....but what's that got to do with his stamina...his power...and his conditioning besides nothing?
The man was a powerhouse....just because he doesn't fit your idea of the perfect heavyweight champion...and what he should be...doesn't mean he sucks. You can't judge Marciano solely by what you can see!

The man didn't have the height...the size...the reach....BUT...he made up for it with round after round of pressure...punches and bunches....great stamina...power...chin...etc. He made the best out of what he did have...and he went 49-0 with 43kos.
Live with it....no matter how much you ***** and complain...you can't change the outcome. He never lost.

I never suggested he sucked, I happen to think he was a very fine man and an excellent champion. Marciano trained for 3 to 4 months for a fight and was never out of shape between fights he did road work on his honeymoon!.He had to do it to maintain his relentless drive and stamina.

The only criteria for judging any fighter is what you can see and the results it brings!

It doesn't bother me in the slightest ,why should it?

I just find it weird the way so many want his testicles on their chins.

As to his record ,quite a few thought both Lowry and Lastarza deserved the nod in their initial fights with Rocky.
