I only watched it live, the once. And at the time i was being a bit of a fan of Barrera to be honest, and i was thinking along the lines of 'i can give that round to Barrera on the basis of.....etc etc', but after the fight when no analysists had it for Marco i jusr sort of surrendered and i did really have the fight for Marquez. It was some of the trademark punches in bunches that did it, he exerted too many in some vital rounds that put scoring it for Barrera just out fo reach for me (unbiased). I thought Barrera might have done better if he had got stuck in more to be honest, the boxing strategy ironically didn't sit well with me becaue Barrera himself at that point in his career seemed to switvh to thst mode when he seemed 'off'. That's why in the describe Barrera in one word thread i said unpredictable.
I agree Marquez won close but clear, personally. I think at both their bests tho, Barrera beats Marquez by close decision, a close UD or MD.
