    -head explodes-

Morales said he was driven to beat Pac mainly because MAB couldn't...and that it almost counted like another win over EM.

Gotta love those two *******s

James Toney has a great resume too.

RJJ, Iran Barkley, Holyfield, Jirov, Rahman, Michael Nunn and Mike McCallum to name a few.

    - the WW's?

OK, MAB has 2 ATG FW's on his wins, a few HOF'ers in there too. Tell me, how many ATG MW's does Hopkins have? Hopkins is severely overrated.

Toney does have a tremendous resume. He packed more great wins into a 3-year period (91-94) than most of his contemporaries managed in an entire career. His resume is slightly better than Hopkins's.

I think the top 5 resumes around just now are:

    1.De La Hoya
    1=Barrera
    3.Morales
    4.Toney
    5.Trinidad

or something like that. Holyfield isn't active anymore.

Why would you remove his best win, and one of the top 3 wins of this century so far? (TITO)

Scratch Hagler's wins over Hearns and Duran, and Monzon's win over Griffith and Napoles off their resumes as well then.

    Idiot :patsch

so it doesnt matter if you win or lose? that makes no sense. i mean the whole point of fighting the best is to beat them and take the crown yourself. if you lose you are just another cat trying to make it to the top. in that vein trinidad and hopkins both have MUCH better resumes than de la hoya. not to mention both beat him. but barrera has a good one.

It does if you look at the context of a resume.

Oscar's losses to Mosley are both disputed. How disputed? Mosley himself thought he lost the 2nd fight. His loss to Tito is hilariously awful (and I'm a BIG BIG Tito fan). His only real clear definitive loss was the KAYO to Hopkins and the decision to Floyd.

A resume is about WHO you fought before anything else. If you go 44-0 with your best win being Andre Tskurkan, it's not any better than a guy whose 22-22 with his best loss being a close decision against Vernon Forrest.

Roy Jones?? Erm, no. He is a superior fighter p4p yes, has some great wins yes, but is his overall resume as strong as Barrera's? No.
