for me it's neck and neck. barrera has a better resume so far but i think marquez will pull ahead based on superior technique and skills and longevity

 

Marquez is better than Barrera but Barrera ranks higher.

I have Barrera just slightly ahead of JMM right now, but he's finished and JMM is not, so the jury will still be out for a while. If JMM springs the upset against Floyd, he passes Barrera by.

they are all greats, but even though jmm isn't finished yet, just his 2 controversial fights with pacman and the other 2 controversial losses he had with john and norwood who were high quality opponents i have marquez slightly ahead. barrera had the loss in his prime to junior jones and morales had a controversial win over guty espadas whom some thought espadas won. even the greats have their off nights, but what stands out for me about jmm is he's in waters even the greats barrera and morales had never been in. i'll rate jmm higher, but just slightly. his mental coolness, physical power, and heart are all perfectly balanced and is one of the best fighters i've ever seen along with pacman

 

Marquez is better in my opinion and really has the heart and fire inside him but Barrera gets ranked higher because of his accomplishments.
