I doubt it. MAB struggles with guys who packs a punch and fights with so much aggresion, he could outbox the slow plodding Juarez but Valero fights with so much more intensity. Besides, MAB claiming Val can beat Pac where he had just failed was kinda like conceding that Val had the better of him in sparring, atleast thats how I interpreted it.

IMO the JMM-MAB scorecards didnt reflect the true score, I had the fight much much closer. Even had MAB winning first time I watched it. On top of that Pac is a stylistic nightmare. MAB is still elite and really shouldnt reduce himself down to fighting guys so much smaller just to try secure a win. Fight anyone not named Pacquiao & JMM and he's favourite.

Perhaps Valero's aggression would be too much and Marco might go into defensive mode.

I'm a huge Barrera fan and I thought if anything, his last 2 fights with Pacman and Marquez indicated that he wasn't shot. Past his best, but not shot. If he feels he can return and even further his legacy, who am I to try and stop him. Go Barrera!

Well... I wouldn't say he was shot either... but I thought that he's gonna be one of those who can retire without some major late-career beatings. Retire when he wants, not let other boxers retire him.

A farewell fight against IBF champ Fana would make sense or maybe a risky fight against David Diaz - to do something Morales couldn't pull off: 4th division title. But then again: MAB shouldn't fight on. And Vazquez is a bad choice of opponent.

I thought Barrera deserved at least a draw against Marquez if you counted the knockdown which was completely legitimate. Barrera can still beat anybody who isn't named Manny or Marquez.

    Barrera should stay retired.

NAH . . . this talk maybe just HYPE. Vasquez is at the thick of the fight for 122 supremacy, why all of a sudden give up the quest and go for a fight which doesn't makes a sense?

GBP is destroying a fighter's career if they do this.

Well, I hope it's just hype, but I'm afraid it's not. As I've said it's becoming a habit in our sport to match-up guys from different divisions. And of course you can't argue with MAB-Vazquez' marketing value: Vazquez is a top10 p4p-er, could be a top 5 if he wins the 3rd fight with Rafael big, he's very respected, there were some talks about him moving up to 126 anyway - so it looks to be a real info to me.

Of course there are just discussions, but they're discussing it because they see it as a potential superfight. Which is right... just one of the fighters is coming from 2 division below... which is very wrong.

Vazquez will probably make as much in a fight with MAB, then he would fighting Marquez 5 times.
