IMO MAB is already shot but can still win some fights to some lesser boxers

I've been saying for some time that Campbell is an overrated fighter based on mostly a single win over a come foward fighter with no punching power.

A few weeks back when the rumor mill was that GBP was in the works to make a JMM-Juan Diaz fight.....JMM was being heavily criticized here for not going after Campbell first.......there were even posts around here stating Campbell would destroy JMM.......

When you have people actually picking MAB to beat Campbell, I think that says alot to what people really think of him.

.....the truth is that Campbell is just an average lightweight. A good lightweight, but nothing really special.

A MAB-Campbell matchup imo is a matchup between a good lightweight in Campbell, against a very good junior lightweight in MAB.......should make for a great fight!!!!

What a smart move by Don bringing Barrera from the grave and making a mandatory to Nate on top probably is going to be ppv, it's amazing how these old timers are milking the sacred cow of boxing.

    :yep

Nate just left King, and if this fight is even semi-competitive, guess who's going to get the decision?:D

    Payback is always a *****!

If I'm Nate Campbell I'd stay clear away from any Don King fighter.:yep

If Pac gets totallly humiliated by DLH, which is a possibility.....I'd actually expect another Pac-MAB waltz!

    Go Nate, go!!!

I don't really want to see this fight. MAB is far more skilled imo but the size difference plus MAB being well past his best days is a recipe for disaster.

MAB should have taken the fight with Jesus Chavez for the 135 lb title when he had the chance back in 2005, that's a fight I where I would heavily favor him.

I hope Campbell wins this and gets a win over a legend, Campbell should be able to wn a competitive fight by UD, but if he stops Barerra that'd be a great win.

Guessing you never heard of Kid Diamond, and you don't know that Nate fought prime Casa to a standstill. Or that he knocked out Carlos Navarro and WOULD have knocked out Robbie Peden if he hadn't gotten stupid.

Nate's not an ATG by a long shot, but he's no joke. He's a baaaad man and a threat to anyone who gets in the ring with him. The match, to use your framing, is a matchup between a very good lightweight and a past his prime ATG featherweight. The question is does have MAB have enough left in the tank for his superior skills and knowledge to come to bear.

What MAB did against PAC the 2nd time was very damaging to his legacy. I think it's a fair thing to point out.

Also PAC beat a prime MAB the first time and a semi damaged (but not shot) MAB the second time. You can see it in MAB's handspeed, his footwork, and his attitude, he is still very much into it.

On the other hand I think it's quite fair to say EM II and III were fights against shot fighters.
