    I have recently started up a youtube channel where I will be uploading full fights from the past. Currently, I only have three career sets and about 10-11 single fights, but I have a huge order coming through in the post and I fully intend to upload some classics in the near future. The kind of fights I'll be interested in uploading are either very exciting competitive fights or really impressive performances from fighters. Which brings me onto my first upload.

    Marco Antonio Barrera vs Enrique Sanchez. I believe Marco peaked as a Featherweight, and I think this may have been his greatest ever performance outside of Hamed and Morales I. That's to say, Barrera shows a really improved right hand, and his counter-punching ability is in full flow here against Sanchez, a former world champion. This was expected to be a relatively competitive equation, but Marco put on a dazzling display of talent. For those who have never seen this before, I hope you enjoy it.

    Also a bit of feedback would be cool. Do you want better quality footage, I could use a better format. Would you prefer a different resolution to get rid of letterbox?

    I followed Sanchez career from the beginning as I attended many of his fights at the Great Western Forum in Ingelwood,Ca. Sanchez was Barreras Morales in the amatuers they fought numerous times each beating eachother It was like 3-2 but i dont know who held the lead.
    Anyways I was a big Sanchez guy and I thought he was gonna be a future PFP guy i thought he was a cant miss, I witnessed a couple one punch blowouts on top of that he had excellent skills, he actually seemed to diminish on the way up and I dont think it was because of better Comp I dont know what it was. Well at least he won a title but he didnt reach his potential in my opinion.
    When he fought Barrera in the Pros though it was clear that Barrera was now the superior fighter. If Sanchez developed like he should have he would have been in the mix with Barrera,Morales,Pac,Marquezs.

    I watched the fight i hadn't seen it since the time they fought. I thought Sanchez still looked pretty good but he was fighting a prime Barrera. Barrera looked awesome:good
    I still dont see how Sanchez let a mediocre guy like Nestor Garza take his title I think that is why i got pissed off about him. Garza was hyped up in Mexico and So Cal and i never saw anything special.Just a good punch and a lot of heart like most mexican fighters but not much else. Sanchez was so much better than Garza,but I didnt actUALLY SEE THE FIGHT, I just read reports on it.

    Oh yey thanks Addie for the clip that was classic Barrera one of my all time favorites as i know he is yours.

    No love for Marco on one of his best performances. Poor form.

    Sorry Addie. He's doing a bit of everything there. It's very good how he's finding a home for his jab so regular against the southpaw. Nice countering on the outside, uses his feet well to keep the distance, and then when he presses with punches in bunches he still keeps using his feet to great effect. The punches in bunches are too much for Sanchez, Barrera just leaves no room to be counteres wether it's that or jabbing.

    I'm out right now though mate. Nice one for the vid. I can never remember if this was the fight immediately after or before Hamed, after i think.

    After mate, and no problem.

    Marco was at his peak from 1998-2003 in my judgment. Sanchez, a good fighter who has beaten Marco in the ams, was just unfortunate to come against that version, who would have beaten quite a few Featherweights for my money. It's interesting, Marco was undoubtedly primarily left handed, but his right hand was working over time here. Stunned him twice with right hands, and that counter right uppercut in round 4 is beautiful. A complete fighter.

    Im just going to load my DVD player up Addie, I have 44 of Marcos fights, and I have this one, I should pop back later to comment :good



    Saying that, the world cup draw is on shortly, I might be a bit longer!

    I always knew you were a Barrera Hater :bart


    Im actually getting a Morales career set soon, I admire them both, Barrera that little bit more.

    I just love how efficiently he goes about his work here. Doesn't try and bomb him out, he just counters everything Sanchez throws and slowly breaks him down. A master at work.
