I took a flight from LA(only 40 min) and got there about 4 hrs before fight time and put my money down as soon as i got to the Mandalay. If the odds were that wide that was ridiculous, I even thought 2 to1 was crazy thats why I bit.

I think thats the case for 90% of fans, mate..... thats what made their rivalry so great, their aint a landslide in one mans favour when discussing who was greater like say in the SRR-JLM or Ali-Frazier rivalries, it really is split down the middle with EM & MAB..... the only fans that seem to be able to give definite answers are the fans that are massive fans of either guy - like me with Morales or Addie with Barrera & even then we admit its very close, defo no clear superiority in this rivalry, arguably the most legit & passionate rivalry in history IMO.

    :good

That fight was as close as ****, Ive seen it more than any other fight, I know the rds, every rd very very well.

The clearest win of the trilogy was the 2nd fight in june 02 - in Morales favour.

We`ll leave it at that tho before Addie jumps on my ass for going off topic  :good

Completely agree, theres no way Morales won that fight, other than the Morales fanatics i havent seen anyone that doesnt have MAB as the winner of that fight.

Who do you think - in your personal opinion - won the clearest fight of the trilogy, Blade ? :think

MAB in the first one, but i have to say that the copy i have of the second fight is missing some rounds so i cant really argue if someone says the second one .

morales deserved the 2nd one,and this is coming from a barrera fan. Barrera should have got the first one.

:D Sorry. I'm a bad unintentional culprit for this.

I've not seen that video for a long time, but it reminds me why I liked Barrera so much. Like I said earlier, I always confuse it with the Salud fight, which might actually be my favourite showcase of Barrera's. He looked quality here though; everything was on full rev.

I heard you say before that Morales won the clearest fight, fight 2, thats why I asked.... I take it you must have been going on the commentators opinions or unofficial scorecard along with the rds you did see.... no worries :good

I gave Morales 8 rds in that fight, the missing rds were likely mostly EM rds.

Sorry mate but i never said that the second fight was the clearest victory for any of them i usualy dont talk about that fight since i havent seen the whole fight, for me the first one has always been the clearest win for either man in this case Barrera but if you think its Morales in the second fight i wont argue with it since the rounds ive seen he was doing pretty good :good

I could have seen the complete second fight by now if i wanted to but i was so disappointed from what ive seen considering how great the first fight was that i never bothered getting the full fight.

This was the fight after Hamed. Salud was the one before. He was awesome against Salud as well.
