At 126lbs. Who wins? An awkward style match up for Barerra IMO. I think it would come down to whether Barrera was powerful enough at the weight to hurt Hasegawa. Hasegawa's southpaw movement would be bothersome for Barrera, but if he trades too much then Barrera could get in plenty of counters. What say you?
Very good match up, I find Barrera better though, and he would likely get the better of exchanges. Itend to think that the boxer-puncher version of Barrera would work 2-3s around Hasegawa's lead (and he'd plenty of opportunities to counter, and land) which would be the main scoring shots. They'd also be have a more long-lasting affect, whereas Barrera would likely walk through Hozumi's best. Be a damn good fight though. No matter who wins.
I have posters/canvases of four fighters, and they're: Charles, Pops (ordered), Watson and Morales. That's my Mt. Rushmore of boxing.
Barrera had issues with southpaws other than Pac and could bothered by handspeed so I'd guess that Hasegawa would do well as long as it lasts. Like George says though, I don't think he had the type of power to stop Barrera in his tracks or make him cautious, despite being a good puncher at bantam once he started to sit down on his punches. He'd have to keep getting in and out burying Barrera under blitzes of fast, varied shots for the duration and I think he'd get caught one time too many by Marco's left in the end trying to do so. Fun fight while it lasts though. Also, well done you two on your engagement. And George for dry fisting that buffoon on the Toney thread.
