Round 1

Warrior chirps with his right jab, feeling out. Now a left to the body. Very tentative. AND WITH DAMN GOOD REASON. Cosio bowls him over the very first time he opens up, with a big double hooking right. Warrior gets back on his right jab, sticking his butt out in the air and bowing over to try and avoid the counter shots he's anticipating (but which Cosio isn't really throwing). Warrior wanders too close behind his southpaw jab and gets thumped on the body. They press forearms together, and Cosio slaps up top with a couple of hooks. Warrior reaches downstairs with some hooks of his own. Hard right hand by Cosio, puncturing the guard and tapping Warrior on the chest.

It works out to a shitload more per hour than what I get. :yep

Round 2

Cosio is just mugging Warrior, pushing him back to the ropes and clobbering him with left hooks and heavy overhand rights. Warrior can't come up with any answer to the thudding power, just covering up and getting blown back and forth by it like a leaf in the wind. Now they maneuver out to the center of the ring and Warrior braves some taps to either side of the body while drilling his head into Cosio's chest. They wrestle a bit. Uppercut to the face by Cosio while leaning back against the ropes, half-pinned. More wrestling. Warrior throws a 1-2 but gets timed with a short right hand to the face. Body taps by Warrior, as Cosio drops light shots on the back of his bowed head.

Round 3

Warrior again tries to grind his way in low & dead-center, pressing Cosio back toward the corner and digging softly to the body while pushing his cargo. Cosio shoves his way off the ropes and starts working his 1-2. Solid straight power shots for Cosio until Warrior is able to lean his way in again, forearms strapped vertically to his face. Cosio picks his punches, still not very liberal with the combos and keeping his own defense up despite very little headhunting from Warrior.

30-26 Cosio

 

Round 4

Warrior looses a high right jab and then backs up under fire as Cosio marches up with left jabs and straight rights. Now left hooks and looping rights to the body by Casio. Warrior reverts to his lean-in, and flops into Cosio to guide him back to the ropes. BIG right hand by Cosio gets some space between them. More rights by Cosio as Warrior covers up. Hard right hand again, varying the force with each blow. Soft uppercuts to the body by Warrior as he tries to worm his way in and lean up against Cosio with his elbows sticking up past his ears. Cosio tries a jab but Warrior ducks right under it and headbutts him in the chest. High right hand over the top, clapping down on the back of Warrior's head and followed up by a left hook around the guard. Warrior leans in and rams Cosio to the ropes. Break. Center ring. 1-2 from Cosio, not really cutting the distance.

40-35 Cosio

 

Cosio is doing little enough that Warrior could actually be stealing rounds if he wasn't so hung up on this one tactic that really isn't paying dividends for him.

 

Round 5

Cosio works the straight jab, the right, and hooking versions of both - all blocked. Warrior just stays behind his turtle shell and absorbs it all, eventually pressing in to heave against Cosio and try to walk him to the ropes while trickling out some body taps. Cosio is slapping with hooks behind the head as they remain clamped together with Warrior shoving insistently forward. Soft blows by Cosio, scoring about the face of Warrior. Combination body shots by Warrior. A few close-up exchanges. Uppercut by Cosio, glancing. Good left hook under the ribs by Warrior.

Round 6

Warrior comes forward and floats a high right jab, and Cosio hooks away at him methodically with single lefts and rights. Warrior tries to dive and breach his way in like a submarine but Cosio has the waters mined with hooks of all sorts. Big looping right to the side of the head puts Warrior down, finally. He gets up but Cosio is all over him. Hard straight flurries and uppercuts. Warrior is backed up to the ropes and bounces off them - knocking the cameraman off the ring apron!!! Big barrage of continued punches from Cosio, and Warrior is down. He can not be saved by the bell, so Cortez counts. Warrior stays on a knee until 8 even though the round is over. :think That could be a telling sign..
