Round 4

Point taken from Fortuna for going low again. He is bowing and apologizing, but Cortez is fed up. Left uppercut by Fortuna catches Roman coming in. Whipping right hook. Fortuna is just cracking him with long loose-limbed shots while backing up. Roman can't get near him. Wild hook from the hip by Roman trying to swat his way in as Fortuna backs up to the ropes. Fortuna is flinging his arms out in a net and sometimes grabbing Roman as he circles and stays off the ropes. A few counter left uppercuts inside by Fortuna. Roman is spun to the ropes and tapped twice quickly on the hips before Fortuna backs away. Lead left by Fortuna, blocked. Roman keeps coming forward but to no avail. Fortuna is using the ropes for leverage when he circles into them and slipping right past Roman untouched with some ducking and dodging (and a fair amount of grabbing).

Round 5

Fortuna whips out some right hooks from the hip as Roman walks up to him and leans into him against the ropes. Cortez calls for a break. Fortuna swings his right arm at his side and whips out hooks while backing up. Roman tries diligently to jab his way in, but Fortuna is stepping all around him and dusting him with open-gloved right hooks and lefts while swinging both arms down at his sides when not in active use. Clinch. Fortuna is clowning, dancing around Roman and waving his fists around each other. Left uppercut to the body from outside by Fortuna, and some more dancing in wide circles. Fortuna holds his right arm out straight, then curves it around the back of Roman's neck to hold him still and try to line him up for a left uppercut.

Round 6

VICIOUS opening combo by Fortuna. Lightning quick hooks and lefts in succession. Roman keeps coming forward, lobbing jabs and rights at the body even as Fortuna backs up and digs his own well turned-over right hooks to Roman's gut. Roman walks into a right upper-hook to the nose while trying to fall atop Fortuna for a clinch with his arms spread. Fortuna squats down, base wide and knees deeply bent. Fortuna tries to lazily snipe Roman from his squat position, missing as Roman bobs and weaves in behind his high guard. Roman throws some jabs and overhand rights, missing all. Fortuna backs up to the ropes and pops a left into Roman's face. Fortuna very briefly boxes orthodox, mostly while backing away. Clinch. Break. Fortuna leas with a left hand up top out of a crouch and then slams a right hook into Roman's side. 1-2 by Fortuna while dancing circles around Roman. Attempted body shots up close by Roman, but Fortuna is smothering him.

This would honestly seem like a mismatch even if this were a sparring session and not an actual pro boxing bout.

 

Round 7

Good right hand by Roman as he keeps launching high bombs on the front foot - but Fortuna is too quick and elusive on his feet, and smoothly tilting and rolling his upper body while slapping out with counters. Fortuna drums the body and darts back out. Roman keeps coming. Fortuna circles wide around him. Lead left by Fortuna, as Roman misses a 1-2. Fortuna quickly changes directions circling - right into the path of a glancing Roman left hook. Roman throws a sloppy combo, churning the air as Fortuna backs up and pushes down on his head with outstretched arms. Roman has a point taken for rabbit punches. The crowd boos. Fortuna lands a lead left to the face. The crowd won't stop booing. They are chanting "Perro" - Spanish for dog?

Round 8

Fortuna dances outside. Roman comes chopping away, throwing his arms out well past his bowed and unguarded head. Roman is touching the body a bit. Fortuna is standing up straight, dancing away from ropes to ropes. More body shots by Roman. LEFTS AND RIGHTS TO THE HIP!! KNOCKDOWN!! Fortuna was just clubbed to the floor under the force of several body blows!! Did Cortez rule that a knockdown?! Roman is all over him!! Body shots! Right hand up top! Fortuna holds!

10-9 or 10-8 Roman? It depends on whether the KD was officially ruled, or whether Cortez goofed and called it a slip. There didn't seem to be a count; Fortuna just shot right up.
