Round 3

Rubio is hurting Vanda with left hooks to the face, keeping his hands dropped with pesky stinging straight rights and uppercuts to the body coming forward. Vanda clinches and then bashes out with some short punches. Vanda still isn't closing his guard properly, leaving a clear open lane down the middle. Rubio is jabbing straight through. Now right hands come behind the jab. Vanda is forced to cover up and lean into Rubio. Body shots. The gloves of Vanda start spreading again. Rubio is grinding into him as Vanda tries to lean in. Bayless warns Rubio to watch the heads. High jab by Vanda. Body jab by Rubio from outside. Right hand, left hand combo by Rubio coming forward. A couple of hard uppercuts by Rubio nail Vanda against the ropes. Vanda stumbles backward, trying to get clear of Rubio's constant attack. A couple of hooks to the body by Vanda, who then paws at his nose which may be bleeding.

Round 4

Rubio knocks Vanda back with hooks and right hands. Vanda takes a brief stand, tossing out straight shots while setting his feet. Rubio hangs back and lets Vanda's punches crash into his guard, then comes forward jabbing high. Body slaps by Vanda backing up. Rubio pokes him in the face with jabs. Vanda is landing some jabs too, but Rubio's edging him 2 to 1. Hard combo upstairs by Rubio. Vanda covers up, and Rubio goes to the body. Hands come down, back to the head. Rubio is bullying Vanda. High right hand by Rubio, grazing. Vanda's nose is bleeding on the inside and outside now. A couple of right uppercuts by Vanda while tilting inside. Rubio knocks him into a corner with a few 1-2 blasts.

Round 5

Rubio is clipping Vanda with left hooks and overhand rights with impunity now. Vanda is just getting backed up and worked over. Bayless is watching very closely. Vanda gamely tries to flurry back but Rubio is drilling him. Hooks, straights, overhands, uppercuts. Rubio is just much stronger. Vanda has tons of heart and some fast hands, but is overwhelmed by the sheer strength and tenacity of Rubio. Bayless rescues Vanda while he's getting drilled against the ropes and unable to dish out anything in return.
