That said, Arslan looked game versus Alexeev so another shot at the title is not entirely unwarranted. Why are there no talks of Hernandez v Huck though? Isn't that THE fight to make at 200?
Some would argue that Lebedev-YPH would be better but either of those fights would be great. Hernandez just had 2 tough fights with Cunningham & is also having an easier opponent, Troy Ross. Next year should see some more good fights at cruiser, Masternek & Chakkiev will be in the title mix soon.
Good point. There's no P4P material at 200 but at least these guys (Huck, Lebedev, Afolabi, Hernandez, Cunningham, BJ Flores, Diablo, Tarver, Kayode, Jones and so forth) are evenly matched and provide entertainment at a reasonably good level. I secretly enjoy the CW division quite a lot to be honest.
Its one of my favourite divisions & always gets overlooked, this year has been great so far; Afolabi-Huck 2 was epic & YPH-Cunningham 2 was an excellent fight as well. It doesnt attract the attention & earn the money HW does, which often means the top5 guys have to fight each other. Like you said they are all fairly evenly matched & produce competitive, entertaining fights.
Hernandez has a decent fight with Troy Ross which is been overlooked by all the fans due to the bigger fights this month. This is the worst month for someone like Hernandez to fight this month, in terms of getting his name out there. The winners should face each other for sure.
