Well first off, I think a prime-Tarver stops Huck in the middle-late rounds, but I fell like at this stage this is an intriguing fight. After the debacle that was the Labedev-fight, Huck is in need of a big opponent, I think. A 42 years-old Tarver might still be the best win on his resume. Besides this might also be the CW-fight with the most money involved as I would also assume Tarver to rope in Showtime for this.

As for the fight, I think in the win against the limited Green Tarver demonstrated a few things that make him a legit CW: He carried his power with him and was able to take some big punches well. As crude as Green is, he is tough as nails and has legit CW power. Tarver also looked very big next to Green, so it is hard to see Huck bully him around the ring.

The question for me would be if Tarver would still be able to overcome Huck’s activity (which is not great, but his flurries tend to look better than they really are).On the other hand, Huck needs to find a way to neutralize Tarver’s strong jab and stay clear of the straight left. I personally don’t see a KO here. Tarver’s reflexes have slowed, but always had a very good chin and I think he is too experienced to get caught up in the flurries. I am not convinced that Huck’s chin is more than average, but his defense is underrated, I think.

I really can’t decide, who to pick, but I think it would make an interesting fight.

Tarver, even at his age, is still the best CW out there IMO. Unless of course, Adamek wises up and reclaims his rightful throne.

I don't think Tarver could stop Huck, but I could see him scoring a KD or 2 considering his handspeed is far better than Hucks exterior defense. Huck could KO Tarver since he has an edge in power, and Tarver's chin while strong is not granite, and Huck could land a counter R hand while Tarver is admiring his body work.

That said, Tarver is up there with Toney, Hopkins, and Wladimir as far as ring generalship and I couldn't see him letting himself get so devastatingly countered and KOd by a single shot.

I got Tarver if this fight happen in the next 12 months. At this point it's hard to tell how much he has left in the tank.

Huck UD, regardless what happens in the ring. It will take place in Germany. End of discussion.

Yeah, Huck's fanbase in Germany would have the crowd slightly impressing the judges, but they will be right on top of the action and see how Tarver would be pressing the action, then defending and coutering during Hucks spots.

I can't see such a lopsided outside fight going Hucks way, even if the judges were related to him.

I think Tarver should go after Ledbedev who has more pop in the US for his KO of Roy.

Then try to hold on until B-Hop fights and offer B-Hop a chance for his CW title for a big payday.

Nah, he should UNIFY and become undisputed within the next 12 months, then see if BHOP is willing to get starched at 47 or become the UD CWCotW.

Marco Huck is the worst champion in the sport today. The man has absolutely no skills to speak of and is pretty much a physically strong club fighter.Even a 42 year old Tarver is more than capable of backing this bufoon up and picking him apart.

But would he get a decision there? Probably not.Huck can spend an entire round doing nothing and then make one attack, making the crowd go nuts and he can win a round. And Tarver's not the sort to overwhelm opposition through sheer volume,so it's another gift decision Marco "Captn' piece of ****" Huck will get away with.
