At THE GREEK SPORTS BOOK Lebedev is the favotite now he is -115 and Huck is -105 this morning Lebedev was +135 big change.
Round 6 Povetkin starts strong as usual, backing Firtha up with stiff jabs and hard hooks. True to form, he slows down after about a minute and Firtha starts trying to find a home for his big right hand. Povetkin waits on him from the outside. Firtha doesn't make a move for some time. Firtha comes forward jabbing but grabs when he gets inside. They jab together and Povetkin's head snaps back. They wrestle a bit. Povetkin double jabs to back Firtha up. The referee warns Povetkin to keep his head up so that Firtha can't push it down in the clinch. Firtha partially lands a 1-2 to the chin.
Round 7 Firtha's jab is getting even slower. Povetkin tries to time his own jab over it but isn't committing to the aggressor role to open the 7th. They clinch and shove for quite some time until broken up. Firtha keeps wading in with his slow jab and either getting countered or clinching (or both). Povetkin lands a nice triple hook to the body off his own jab. Povetkin starts really putting some zip in his jab as he hurls it in Firtha's face.
Round 8 This rounds starts very slowly. Both keep their distance and are executing their punches (jabs for Povetkin, slow chopping bombs from Firtha) from well beyond the strike zone. The referee has a physician look at Firtha, apparently cut near the eye. He is cleared. Firtha shows a bit more urgency now, winging power punches at Povetkin but not landing clean and winding up in a clinch.
Is it just me or does Povetkin look like his timing is off? Have only seen last couple of rounds, though.
