It tells us Boytsov is currently not (if he ever was) the premium contender he was thought perhaps to be for so long, if he is unable to dominate a 6-1 greenhorn...even if Musafarov is pretty good for a 6-1 greenhorn. Especially where he needed to make a statement here and rebuild his confidence after the upset loss to Leapai, scraping by Musafarov and looking mediocre is a bad result.
Musafarov is much better than his record indicates, he wasn't an easy comeback opponent for Boytsov. Another result: Otto Wallin TKO 4 Maksym Pedyura
True, but it doesn't hand him the complete write off as a contender either. Although it's now definitely clear he's in no way what he was made out to be
I agree..... Musafarov was leading with wild shots and following with his head every time he pressed the action. A seasoned pro like Boystov is SUPPOSED to be able to adapt quickly to such a repetitive style. To be perfectly honest, I can't seen this version of Boystov beating Ding or Guinn if he were to rematch them. Not that Sauerland would dare to chance him vs someone of their calibre ATM. If Boystov's still got any fans left out there, they've gotta be real disappointed in his lack of ability lately, although to his credit, at least he got himself into decent shape for Musafarov.:think
Uh-oh! Pawel Kardyni of Poland is a judge. I remember him being trouble, on at least one if not many occasions. He is joined by Spaniard and Frenchman respectively, Manuel Oliver Palomo & Jean Francois Toupin. I don't know their reps offhand.
Round 1 Brischetto is throwing his right jab once and taking four lateral steps to his left on the outside, giving Kölling lots of respect early. Kölling is walking in with his body tilted forward and guard up tight. Kölling is doubling left jabs into Brischetto's face and backing him up. Counter slingshot 1-2 from Brischetto navigating free of a corner. Kölling pressures lightly with the jab, scoring a few right crosses as Brischetto moves straight backwards. 10-9 Kölling
I wish he would show up and double-clothesline these feather-fists so we can get on with the main event. :-((
Round 2 Kölling is walking forward, ducking in place and weaving as he blocks the right jabs and light combos Brischetto is rattling off at him on the backfoot. Kölling is only scoring a few kiss-on-the-lip jabs and occasionally wispy body shots as Brischetto leaves a slight opening below his elbows in reverse. 10-9 Kölling but not much in this either way, both very inactive and neither landing clean punches. 20-18 Kölling
